We agree with @VitalikButerin: don't scramble, but take it seriously. A view from our cryptography team: What changed this week isn't a broken curve. Nobody has shown an attack on ECDSA. What changed is the planning assumption. We used to ask "when will quantum computers arrive?" Now we also have to ask "how fast will AI move the math?" Fortunately, IoTeX has been working on this since May. IIP-64, our post-AI post-quantum migration proposal, already includes hash-based (SLH-DSA) signatures, an algorithm-agile precompile and key registry, and zero-knowledge migration proofs for accounts whose keys are still hidden. An update and potentially a vote on this IIP are coming shortly. Open Verifiable systems are only as strong as the math under them. 👇
