Why Does Aave's Expansion Matter for Avalanche and BENQI? Welcome to Freshman Questions, a BENQI educational series designed to help make Avalanche and decentralized finance easier to understand for new users. 🔺 Aave's announced V4 expansion, a first on Avalanche, is yet another sign that Avalanche has become default infrastructure for a much larger financial system. This development became particularly apparent following Avalanche Summit with what Aave founder and CEO Stani Kulechov had to say at TOKEN2049 Singapore in October 2026. At TOKEN2049, Stani participated in a discussion entitled DeFi's Institutional Breakthrough, alongside leaders from Ethena and Synthetix/Infinex. This breakthrough message made it clear: decentralized finance has moved with foresight beyond crypto-native applications through infrastructure enabled support for the large panoply of traditional financial assets on-chain, into on-chain institutional lending, other capital markets and use-cases beyond. What Is Aave Expanding on Avalanche? Aave is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol. Like BENQI Markets, it connects capital suppliers with borrowers through smart contracts. Aave has operated on Avalanche since 2021, but its July 2026 V4 deployment introduced a new approach to lending infrastructure. Aave V4 uses a Hub and Spoke architecture , with a core liquidity hub providing shared liquidity to multiple specialized markets. Think of it as a shared pool of liquidity connected to specialized lending markets. Instead of every market requiring entirely separate liquidity, different markets can draw from a common liquidity hub while maintaining distinct borrowing rules and risk parameters. Aave's initial Avalanche deployment includes: Main Market: General-purpose lending and borrowing across a broader set of assets. AVAX Correlated Market: Specialized lending involving AVAX-related assets, including sAVAX and WAVAX. Forex Market: Lending and borrowing involving supported fiat-pegged stablecoins. The architecture is designed to improve capital efficiency while accommodating and optimizing for different financial needs. It is less now about liquidity and more about market structures. And this is particularly relevant in Avalanche's current stage of deployed development. What Did Stani Kulechov Say at TOKEN2049? At TOKEN2049 Singapore, Kulechov's participation in DeFi's Institutional Breakthrough reinforced a theme that has become central to Aave's direction. DeFi isn't necessarily destined to remain a separate financial niche. It increasingly becomes part of the infrastructure, distribution, and markets through which traditional finance operates. Kulechov has argued that on-chain credit and finance needs to think beyond today's relatively small crypto-native markets. The opportunity includes institutional credit, tokenized securities, real-world assets, and financial activity involving far larger pools of capital. This represents an important shift as users everywhere tap into network effects. Early DeFi focused heavily on enabling crypto holders to trade, lend, borrow, and earn yield. Now people want to know… What happens when traditional financial assets begin using the same infrastructure? Imagine tokenized investment funds, credit instruments, and other securities moving through on-chain financial markets. Those assets need more than digital representations. They need liquidity. They need collateral frameworks. They need borrowing markets. And they need systems capable of managing different financial risks. That's why Aave's emphasis on institutional lending and real-world assets matters. It is no coincidence that Aave has expanded on Avalanche. It's about building the cultural and technical structures for a potentially much larger financial system, that was built originally to tokenize finance and digitize all the world’s assets. How Does Aave's Expansion Create More Utility for sAVAX? Here's one of the most concrete foundational connections between Aave's Avalanche expansion and BENQI. Aave V4's Avalanche deployment includes an AVAX Correlated Market that supports sAVAX as collateral for borrowing wrapped AVAX. Consider what that means. Step 1: A user stakes AVAX through BENQI Liquid Staking. Step 2: The user receives sAVAX representing the underlying staking position. Step 3: The underlying AVAX continues participating in Avalanche staking. Step 4: The user can potentially supply sAVAX as collateral in Aave's supported market expanded beyond what was possible in V3. That's a practical example of DeFi composability. One protocol creates a useful financial asset. Another protocol builds additional financial functionality around it. The result is more potential utility for the original asset. The point here is that sAVAX utility can extend beyond what it concurrently is. More collateral. More borrowing demand. This larger Avalanche DeFi ecosystem can create more opportunities for liquid staking assets to participate in financial activity. Why Does This Matter for Avalanche? Aave has announced plans for additional real-world asset credit infrastructure on Avalanche. That initiative could help connect tokenized assets with borrowing and liquidity services, subject to the market's eventual launch and eligibility requirements. Tokenization brings assets on-chain. Lending infrastructure helps make those assets financially useful. Avalanche has both sides of that functionality already developing within its ecosystem. BENQI has been part of this Avalanche's DeFi infrastructure since it's earliest development. Its products address several aspects of this productive capital deployment. BENQI Liquid Staking allows AVAX holders to participate in staking while receiving sAVAX, a liquid representation of their staking position. BENQI Core Markets provide lending and borrowing infrastructure for supported digital assets. That is productive finance in action, actualized by traditional finance well beyond the original manifestation of purely degen defi on-chain. And as Avalanche's lending ecosystem grows, the opportunities for those assets to interact with other protocols can grow too. Kulechov's broader vision emphasizes making on-chain financial markets capable of supporting much larger pools of capital. Why This Matters Aave's expansion on Avalanche is significant because it connects several trends. Avalanche is attracting more institutional financial activity. Aave is developing lending infrastructure for increasingly sophisticated credit markets. BENQI continues to provide liquid staking, lending, borrowing, and validator-related infrastructure. And sAVAX is an example of how an asset created by one protocol can become useful within another. These advances illustrate how Avalanche's DeFi infrastructure is becoming more interconnected. The opportunity isn't simply to bring more capital onchain. It's to make that capital more useful now that it has arrived. Adoption continues… Next Step If you hold AVAX or sAVAX, explore how the different lending markets on Avalanche work. Start by understanding BENQI Liquid Staking and how sAVAX represents staked AVAX. Then look at the growing number of applications supporting sAVAX, including Aave's AVAX Correlated Market. Compare liquidity, collateral requirements, borrowing costs, and liquidation risks before using any lending strategy. And remember: The value of a growing DeFi ecosystem isn't just more places to put capital. It's more ways for capital to become productive. Got another Freshman Question you'd like us to cover? How does your sAVAX strengthen Avalanche? Welcome to Freshman Questions, a BENQI educational series designed to make Avalanche and decentralized finance easier to understand for new users. 🔺 When most people think about staking AVAX, they think about yield. Stake AVAX. Earn staking rewards. Receive sAVAX. Put that sAVAX to work across DeFi. But there's another side of liquid staking that's easy to overlook. Your AVAX isn't earning staking rewards simply because it has been deposited somewhere. It's doing a job. It's helping secure Avalanche. When AVAX enters BENQI Liquid Staking, that capital becomes part of a pool that delegates AVAX across eligible Avalanche validators. BENQI's delegation system determines which validators receive stake through Node Voting. That means sAVAX represents more than a yield-bearing asset. It represents AVAX actively participating in Avalanche's Proof-of-Stake network. And after the announcements around Avalanche Summit and the Helicon network upgrade that followed—the relationship between staking, validator participation, and Avalanche's next stage of growth is in the spotlight. Why Is This Especially Relevant After Avalanche Summit? Avalanche Summit 2026 made one thing particularly visible: The range of organizations interested in using Avalanche is expanding. Avalanche's post-Summit recap included institutional finance, tokenized assets, payments, stablecoins, and new applications. Among the announcements, Janus Henderson was announced as becoming an Avalanche validator, while Paxos integrated Avalanche into infrastructure serving hundreds of institutions. Avalanche also highlighted planned permissionless trading of tokenized U.S. stocks through Pharaoh. After. Goldman Sachs announced it is bringing its $100B flagship Treasury fund to Avalanche. These developments may appear unrelated to sAVAX. They're not. The more important Avalanche becomes as infrastructure for financial activity, the more important the infrastructure underneath Avalanche becomes. That includes the whole BENQI ecosystem as well as all Avalanche validators. What Does an Asset Manager Becoming a Validator Tell Us? Consider the significance of the Janus Henderson announcement. Institutional participation in blockchain used to mean something relatively simple: Buy crypto. Then it expanded: Custody crypto. Then: Tokenize financial assets. Becoming a validator represents another step: Participate in the network infrastructure itself. Avalanche announced around Summit that Janus Henderson would become an Avalanche validator as the asset manager expands its involvement in the ecosystem. What About All the New Financial Activity Coming to Avalanche? Summit also highlighted something else. Avalanche isn't only trying to attract more crypto-native applications. Aave announced plans for an RWA lending market on Avalanche where eligible tokenized financial assets could serve as collateral for stablecoin borrowing. Avalanche currently leads ALL CHAINS in 30 day RWA market cap growth. Paxos integrated Avalanche into regulated infrastructure serving more than 650 institutions and supporting more than 470 million end users globally. Pharaoh announced plans to bring permissionless, 24/7 trading of tokenized U.S. stocks to Avalanche DeFi. Each initiative is different. But together they raise the same infrastructure question: If more financial activity runs on Avalanche, what secures the network underneath it? Validators do. Then Avalanche Changed Its Staking System Just days after Summit, Avalanche's Helicon upgrade activated on Mainnet on September 22, 2026. Helicon introduced several significant staking changes. The minimum staking duration fell from two weeks to 48 hours. The minimum delegation duration remained at two weeks. Validators can use auto-renewed staking. The uptime requirement for new validation periods increased from 80% to 90%. And the staking reward curve began a gradual recalibration designed partly to encourage longer-duration staking while extending Avalanche's security-budget runway. The latest Avalanche upgrade also introduced Continuous Execution (CE), a new way to improve the performance of blockchains by taking advantage of parallelism. It’s exciting technical stuff that you should know about so you understand what makes Avalanche so fast. Before CE, the jet had to land every time it needed to refuel. The chain would execute, stop to perform consensus work, execute again, then stop again. Continuous Execution changes that. Now the jet can refuel while it is still in the air. Consensus and execution happen concurrently, so the chain no longer has to constantly switch between the two. The flight becomes continuous, with no unnecessary interruptions or mode switching. To put this in perspective, before CE, Avalanche validators were spending somewhere between 20 to 60 milliseconds per block on verification, sometimes even as high as 150ms. Those changes matter because Avalanche is simultaneously trying to make staking infrastructure more feasible and flexible while demanding stronger validator performance. Your sAVAX Has Two Jobs This brings us back to the individual holder. Suppose you stake AVAX through BENQI. From your perspective, you receive sAVAX. That sAVAX can accrue staking value and remain usable across supported DeFi applications. But underneath that user experience, something else is happening. Your AVAX becomes part of pooled capital being deployed into Avalanche's validator economy. So your position effectively participates in two layers: Layer 1: Network infrastructure Underlying AVAX is staked with validators helping operate and secure Avalanche. Layer 2: Financial infrastructure You receive sAVAX, which can remain liquid and potentially participate in lending, liquidity, trading, or other supported DeFi strategies. That's what makes liquid staking particularly interesting. Capital can help secure the network without becoming financially inert. It is all just finance. So Is Every sAVAX Literally Securing Avalanche? Economically, sAVAX represents a share of BENQI's liquid staking pool, whose underlying AVAX is used for Avalanche staking. But it's useful to be precise. The sAVAX token itself isn't validating transactions. Validators do that. And the token sitting in your C-Chain wallet isn't being individually sent to a particular validator. Instead, BENQI aggregates deposited AVAX, manages the underlying staking operations, and issues sAVAX representing users' positions. That's why a more accurate statement is: Your sAVAX represents AVAX participating in Avalanche's staking system. And BENQI's delegation architecture helps determine how that pooled AVAX is distributed among eligible validators. Benqi strengthens Avalanche. The Bigger Picture Avalanche Summit showed where Avalanche wants to go. More institutions. More tokenized assets. More credit. More stablecoins. More payments. More applications. Helicon changed some of the continuous mechanics and speed supporting the network underneath that growth. And BENQI sits at an interesting intersection of this strengthened growth and increased adoption. Avalanche needs validators. Validators need stake. AVAX holders want staking rewards. DeFi users want liquidity. Communities want decentralization. Liquid staking can connect those needs. When you stake AVAX through BENQI, you're not simply asking: "What can my AVAX earn?" You're also participating in a much larger question: "What infrastructure is my AVAX helping support?" As Avalanche grows, this distinction matters. Your stake isn't sitting on the sidelines watching the network develop. It's part of what allows the network to operate and evolve. It is all just the internet of finance after all. Next Step If you hold AVAX and are considering liquid staking, look beyond the headline staking rate. Understand where the underlying AVAX goes. Look at the validators helping operate Avalanche. Then look at what is being built on top of the network they secure. Stake AVAX. Receive sAVAX. Keep your capital liquid while the underlying stake helps secure Avalanche. Your yield is only one side of the story. Your stake helps fuel the network underneath it. 🔺 Got another Freshman Question you'd like us to cover? Let us know!

The Avalanche Summit NYC - Building the Financial Rails for the On-chain Economy Welcome to Freshman Questions, a BENQI educational series designed to make Avalanche and decentralized finance easier to understand for new users. 🔺 Avalanche Summit New York is happening September 16–17. And a quick look at the agenda reveals something important. Just a short distance from Wall Street, Avalanche is bringing together institutions, builders, investors, policymakers and crypto-native teams to discuss what happens as more of the global economy moves onchain. The Summit’s focus reflects how far the conversation around blockchain has evolved. Avalanche describes the event around two major themes: onchain finance and consumer applications, with discussions spanning tokenized assets, blockchain-native liquidity, regulated capital markets, institutional adoption and the infrastructure required to turn those ideas into working products. For BENQI, these conversations are particularly relevant. BENQI was built around this idea: if Avalanche is going to become infrastructure for an onchain economy, users and institutions need financial infrastructure around $_AVAX itself. That means making capital productive. Kaking staking liquid. Making borrowing and lending accessible. Making validator infrastructure easier to operate. And increasingly, giving the community a role in how that infrastructure develops. This is where Avalanche's direction and BENQI's mission converge. First, What Is Avalanche Summit? Avalanche Summit brings together builders, investors, enterprises, and financial institutions working around the Avalanche ecosystem and the broader onchain economy. For a new BENQI user, the important part isn't simply that another crypto conference is taking place. It's what people are talking about there. This year's agenda includes conversations such as: Beyond Yield: The Institutional Case for Staking Built for Business: Why Avalanche, Why Now Follow the Flows: Where Institutional Capital Is Moving Thriving in an Uncertain World Alongside those are sessions addressing institutional onchain activity, tokenization, stablecoins, businesses building on Avalanche, and the development of onchain financial infrastructure. Put those topics together and a larger question emerges: What does finance look like when traditional finance and blockchain converge with more capital, assets, and businesses beginning to operate onchain? BENQI has been part of this story from day one. Avalanche is built for Business. BENQI is built for Avalanche. Avalanche is bringing finance onchain Representatives from firms including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Apollo and other major financial and crypto institutions are attending the Summit, with tokenization positioned as one of the event's defining conversations. The agenda extends into stablecoins, payments, DeFi, regulation, AI and the infrastructure required to support increasingly sophisticated onchain markets. This isn't simply a conversation about putting assets on a blockchain. Once assets move onchain, they need markets. They need liquidity. They need collateral. They need lending infrastructure. And they need efficient ways for capital to move between opportunities. That is precisely the layer of Avalanche that BENQI has spent years building. BENQI Markets: liquidity for an expanding onchain economy BENQI Markets allows users to supply assets, earn interest and borrow against their holdings rather than having to sell them. BENQI Core Markets provide lending and borrowing infrastructure for highly liquid assets including $_AVAX and USDC. That architecture becomes increasingly relevant as the Avalanche ecosystem attracts and digitizes more tokenized assets. The Summit is putting tokenization, institutional finance and blockchain-native liquidity at the center of the discussion. BENQI provides infrastructure through which parts of that emerging asset universe can potentially become productive collateral and participate in onchain markets. In other words, Avalanche brings tokenized assets onchain. BENQI and DeFi protocols create additional markets around them. sAVAX: making the native asset productive The same principle applies to $_sAVAX itself. Native Avalanche staking contributes to network security and generates staking rewards, but traditionally requires $_AVAX to move to the P-Chain and become locked. BENQI Liquid Staking changes the capital-efficiency equation. Users can stake $_AVAX directly from the C-Chain and receive $_sAVAX, a liquid representation of their staked position. That $_sAVAX continues accruing staking rewards while remaining transferable and usable throughout DeFi. It can be supplied to lending markets, used as collateral, deposited into liquidity pools or integrated into other DeFi strategies. This creates a powerful flywheel: Stake $_AVAX → secure Avalanche → receive $_sAVAX → deploy $_sAVAX across DeFi → increase onchain liquidity and capital efficiency. As Avalanche attracts more users, applications and capital, making the network's native asset productive becomes increasingly important. BENQI Liquid Staking was built for exactly that. What Does Kevin O'Leary's "Thriving in an Uncertain World" Have to Do With BENQI? The Summit's Kevin O'Leary fireside introduces another useful perspective: How should investors think about uncertainty? Crypto doesn't eliminate uncertainty. Neither does DeFi. Markets remain volatile. Interest rates change. Asset prices move. Smart contracts introduce technical risks. Borrowing creates liquidation risk. Regulations evolve. But blockchain infrastructure can give investors additional tools for deciding how capital is deployed. An $_AVAX holder can choose whether to hold. Stake. Liquid stake. Supply liquidity. Lend. Borrow. Or maintain capital in stable assets. BENQI doesn't eliminate the risks involved in those choices. It provides infrastructure through which users can act on them. Productive capital is not the same thing as risk-free capital. And What Does Anchorage's Presence at the Summit Signal? Even something like Run Club presented by Anchorage becomes interesting in the context of a broader Summit conversation. Anchorage Digital represents part of the institutional infrastructure developing around digital assets. And its support for BENQI Staked AVAX provides a tangible connection between that institutional layer and BENQI's DeFi-native infrastructure. That is a small example of a much larger transition. Crypto-native protocols don't need to become traditional financial institutions at all. Instead, different layers can connect. BENQI can provide liquid staking infrastructure. Avalanche can provide the blockchain. Institutional custodians can provide institutional access. Other applications can provide lending, trading, tokenization, payments, or settlement. The resulting ecosystem becomes more interconnected. So What Should BENQI Users Actually Watch at Avalanche Summit? Don't just watch for announcements. Watch for connections. When speakers discuss institutional staking, ask what institutions will need to make staked assets liquid and usable. When they discuss institutional capital flows, ask where that capital can earn, borrow, or find liquidity once it arrives onchain. When they discuss tokenization, ask what financial markets those tokenized assets will need. When businesses explain why they're building on Avalanche, ask what financial infrastructure their users and assets may eventually require. When stablecoins are discussed, think about their role in lending, borrowing, settlement, and liquidity. Those questions lead back to something BENQI users already experience: Staking, liquidity, lending, borrowing, and infrastructure are becoming interconnected pieces of the same onchain economy. BENQI is helping make the capital inside that economy work. And as New York brings together the people building the next generation of onchain finance, that connection is becoming harder to miss. Avalanche provides the rails. BENQI puts the capital to work. Stay tuned for more information about the Summit. Got another Freshman Question you'd like us to cover? Let us know! 🔺

As part of BENQI’s ongoing risk management efforts and broader initiative to streamline market support, BENQI will begin reducing collateral factors for PAUSED assets within BENQI’s Core Markets. These changes apply only to PAUSED Core Markets. Active Core Markets are not affected. This extends the wind-down process already underway for paused Isolated Markets to paused Core Markets only. For the paused $QI Core Market: • September 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM UTC: Collateral factor will be reduced from 40% → 20% • September 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM UTC: Collateral factor will be reduced from 20% → 0% The $QI Core Market has been paused for several years, and new $QI supply has also been paused for several years. Users with outstanding borrows against $QI collateral are strongly encouraged to repay their loans or adjust their positions ahead of these changes to avoid potential liquidation. Over time, collateral factors for other PAUSED Core Markets will also be reduced to zero. To reiterate: this wind-down applies only to Core Markets that are already paused. It does not apply to active BENQI Core Markets. Users will receive ample advance notice before collateral-factor changes are made to any additional paused Core Markets. Stay tuned for further updates.

Update on BENQI Markets On May 4th, BENQI was notified by Chaos Labs that they had experienced an attack exhibiting patterns similar to those associated with a nation-state level actor. Following this notification, Chaos Labs advised all impacted protocols to pause affected markets until further information became available. At the time of the notification: -The BENQI Core Market operated with a dual-oracle architecture utilizing both Chainlink and Chaos Edge Oracle. -The BENQI Ecosystem Market, which supports long-tail assets, operated solely using Chaos Edge Oracle. Importantly, no user funds or positions were impacted at any stage, and the BENQI protocol remained secure throughout. Due to BENQI’s dual-oracle architecture, the Core Market was never exposed to material risk from this incident. In the event of any significant price divergence between oracle providers, the protocol is designed to automatically pause affected activity as a protective measure. Out of an abundance of caution, the BENQI team immediately implemented the following actions: -Transitioned all Core Market feeds to Chainlink-only, where the majority of protocol TVL resides. -Fully paused the Ecosystem Markets powered exclusively by Chaos Edge Oracle. The Core Market continues to operate normally under Chainlink-only feeds, with no disruption to user positions. The Ecosystem Markets were paused within minutes of the notification. Users remain able to repay loans and withdraw funds, however additional borrowing from paused markets has been temporarily disabled until further notice. Approximately 48 hours after the initial warning, Chaos Labs confirmed to the BENQI team that the affected keys had been rotated. Separately, BENQI had already been evaluating additional oracle providers as part of ongoing infrastructure diversification efforts. We will announce our selected secondary oracle partner in due course. Integration of any future provider will occur without protocol downtime. The safety of user funds and protocol stability remain BENQI’s highest priorities, and we will continue to take proactive measures to maintain the resilience and security of the platform.

The 5 Minute Guide to Borrowing Against Your Crypto on Avalanche What if you could buy more crypto without selling what you already hold? That's exactly what BENQI Markets lets you do. Deposit your crypto, borrow against it, and keep your original position while accessing fresh capital. No selling or missing out on upside. If you've ever used a traditional bank, the concept isn't that different. You deposit, earn interest, borrow when you need liquidity. The difference is you're in control, not the bank. Your assets work harder, and your options stay open. But let's face it: all those moving parts can feel overwhelming if you are new to DeFi(and sometimes, even if you're a vet). That's why we're breaking down exactly how BENQI Markets work. It doesn't matter if you're new to Avalanche or a seasoned DeFi user. No turbo blockchain jargon or knowledge assumptions here. Just the simplest path to understanding lending and borrowing on Avalanche. BENQI Markets is a lot like a bank. You can deposit crypto assets to earn interest and borrow against those deposits when you need extra buying power. Think of it like this; instead of selling your crypto to free up cash, you can often borrow against it. That way you keep your position while still accessing capital. Why do people do this? Let's say you're holding $AVAX and you want it to work harder for you. Instead of just holding it, you can convert it to $sAVAX (staked AVAX) through BENQI's liquid staking. $sAVAX earns staking rewards automatically while staying liquid. This means you can still use it. Now here's where it gets interesting. You can deposit that $sAVAX into BENQI Markets as collateral, then borrow $USDC against it. That $USDC hits your wallet as real, spendable money, while your $sAVAX stays deposited and keeps earning staking yield in the background. So, what can you actually do with that borrowed $USDC? Anything. That's the point. Put a down payment on a car without liquidating your crypto position Cover an unexpected expense like a medical bill, home repair, or opportunity that can't wait Fund a business purchase while keeping your $AVAX exposure intact Bridge a cash flow gap if you're self-employed and waiting on payments Buy the dip on another asset without selling what you already believe in The key difference from a traditional loan: no credit check, no bank approval, no waiting weeks. You are borrowing against assets you already own, on your timeline. Quick example: You hold $10,000 worth of $sAVAX. You deposit it into BENQI Core Markets and borrow $5,000 USDC. You use that $5,000 for a down payment on a used car. Meanwhile, your $sAVAX is still earning staking rewards. If $AVAX price goes up, your collateral is worth more. You can pay back the loan over time (or whenever you want) and once repaid, you withdraw your $sAVAX that has been quietly compounding the whole time. You got the car. You kept your $AVAX. Your stack kept growing. One important note though is that this cuts both ways. If your collateral drops too much in value, or you borrow too close to your limit, your position becomes riskier and you could face liquidation. That is why starting conservative matters. Ensure you borrow well under your max and keep that Health Factor healthy. 🏦How depositing works Borrowing on BENQI starts with depositing. Your deposit is what backs the loan. You choose an asset to supply, enter the amount, and confirm. After that, you begin earning interest on what you supplied. There’s also a toggle you’ll see called “Use as Collateral.” Turning this on means your deposited asset can be counted as backing for borrowing. If you leave it off, you can still earn interest, but it won’t increase your borrowing power. Before you confirm the deposit, BENQI shows you preview numbers like how your position changes after supplying. This is where you sanity-check whether what you’re doing keeps your account in a comfortable range. 🏦How borrowing works after you’ve deposited Once you’ve supplied collateral, you can switch to the Borrow section and select the asset you want to borrow. $USDC is the most intuitive for newcomers because it behaves like a dollar. You enter the amount you want to borrow and confirm. Once the transaction goes through, the borrowed funds appear in your wallet, and the loan starts accruing interest over time. So, for example, if you deposit $1,000 worth of AVAX, you might be able to borrow $500-600 in USDC depending on current rates. A beginner-friendly approach is to borrow well below the maximum available. You’re not trying to win a leverage contest on day one. You’re learning how the system behaves. Pace yourself. The simple loop: Deposit crypto to earn interest, optionally mark it as collateral, borrow against it to access liquidity without selling, then repay the loan to unlock and withdraw your collateral. You don't need to master every feature on day one. Start by depositing a small amount of an asset you already hold. Watch how the interest accrues Check your Health Factor Get comfortable with the interface Once that feels natural, you can explore borrowing, but only when you are ready, and only with amounts you are comfortable managing. That's the real power of BENQI, you move at your own pace, with full control, while your assets keep working for you. Ready to start? https://app.benqi.fi/
