    Ravencoin Faces Deep Reorg Risk After Consensus Bug Exploited Ravencoin said a critical consensus vulnerability was exploited on its network, causing some nodes to accept invalid blocks, with the first known invalid block appearing at height 4,487,776. Mining pools 2Miners and RavenMiner are now building a chain that excludes the affected branch; if it becomes dominant, the network could undergo a reorganization rolling back roughly three days of transactions. Ravencoin advised exchanges to temporarily suspend RVN deposits and withdrawals and treat transactions after block 4,487,775 as potentially reversible.

    Coinbase should absolutely support the listing of Ravencoin. It’s absolutely not a security, fair launch, no premine. It’s got a solid use case and users, great track record and good volume. We don’t have paid marketers, a treasury or centralized controlling foundation, insiders or bagholders who were gifted free coins. Just good ole fashioned cypherpunk free and fair launch, open source code, given away for free. There’s no one to pay or “officially” lobby for this. Just a bunch of cypherpunks and volunteers — just like Bitcoin, just like Litecoin. List the asset and ideally make it so the assets created with the protocol can also trade.

    Ravencoin could have had a premine. It would have had a treasury for marketing, press releases, partnerships & grants. It would have had rich & motivated founders & devs to pump their bags. It could have even bought some market cap & usage. But then it wouldn’t be Ravencoin. 🦅
