Velvet April Update: Perps Go Live, Velvet X Coming Up, and Agentic Trading Expands April was one of the biggest months yet for Velvet. We launched Perps trading directly inside the Velvet App, starting to roll out Velvet X our new invite-only trading interface and continued expanding the AI agent ecosystem across x402, Helixa, and onchain identity platforms. From agentic trading to social trenching, Velvet is continuing to push toward becoming the operating system for modern onchain traders. Let’s break it down. AI Updates: Expanding the Agent Economy April focused on improving the capabilities, reach, and identity of Velvet’s AI agents. Advanced Perps Analysis with AI We upgraded the AI agent’s functionality across the app and introduced a new Pairs Analysis category for Perps trading. Users can now ask the agent things like: “Create me a good risk-reward BTC trade with 5-10x leverage on Perps.” The AI can analyze setups, structure trades, and help users navigate leveraged markets directly inside the trading interface. Agent Live on 8004 Scan Velvet’s agent is now publicly available on 8004 Scan, expanding its visibility and accessibility in the growing onchain agent ecosystem. x402 Agent APIs We launched 5 agent APIs through x402, enabling developers and external applications to interact with Velvet agents programmatically. Helixa Integration Velvet Unicorn is now integrated with Helixa, giving it identity, reputation, and trust layers for the emerging agent economy. Tech & Product Updates April was a major month for product launches and trading infrastructure. Perps Trading Goes Live We officially launched Perps Trading through Hyperliquid directly on Velvet. Users can now trade: Crypto Stocks Commodities All from one interface with up to 50x leverage. This marks a major expansion of Velvet from spot trading and DeFi into fully integrated multi-asset trading. What We Are Building with Velvet X (invite-only) Velvet X is our invite-only next-generation trading app, designed to give you an unfair advantage onchain. Community & Ecosystem Updates April was another strong month across campaigns, partnerships, and ecosystem growth. Gems Campaigns Epoch 9 concluded with 946,282 $VELVET distributed Epoch 10 launched with 933,310 $VELVET distributed to users on May 10 Easter Egg Trading Competition We ran the Easter Egg Trading Competition, where users competed for 15 million Gems across: Base BNB Chain Solana from April 3rd through April 6th. Printr Integration We integrated Printr, allowing users to trade every Printr token launch across: Solana Base BNB Chain Monad Users on Velvet will also be eligible to receive the Printr Airdrop from trading directly through Velvet Trenches. Global Events The Velvet team attended Web3 Festival Hong Kong and hosted a side event “When Web3 Meets Nasdaq Company” alongside partners and ecosystem friends. Agentic Trading Thought Leadership Velvet’s Chief Degen Officer launched a multi-part article series focused on the future of Agentic Trading, exploring where AI-driven execution and autonomous portfolios are heading.
