A few quick notes (1) Network. Supernova is live, running with remarkable speed and precision. (2) Exchanges. Over the next 5–10 days, global exchanges and other independent partners will begin reopening deposits and withdrawals. The rollout is gradual by design. Each exchange follows its own rigorous internal process, built to protect users and keep the recovery smooth. (3) Security report. An in-depth security analysis is still underway. Several critical elements are already mapped and understood, from the bugs and their fixes to the technical implications and the path to recovery. A few discussions with independent parties remain open. The findings are preliminary, but one stands out above the rest. The tools, methods, preparation, and coordination behind this attack appear to go well beyond those typically associated with amateur attackers. The observed sophistication bears the hallmarks of advanced, experienced, repeated threat actors, including groups operating at the level historically associated with hacker organizations such as Lazarus. Attribution is not yet confirmed, but it is worth stating this out loud: to have successfully defended our users against Lazarus, or another group of that caliber, is a milestone we are proud of! Huge respect to all independent partners, including global exchanges, who have mobilized with extraordinary speed for the greater good of protecting users and the network! (4) Lessons. More importantly, the larger lesson goes beyond this incident. As an industry, we have entered an era of permanent, constant, unending war. Open-source financial infrastructure operates on a global battlefield, continuously exposed to increasingly sophisticated attackers, tools, and methods. Under these conditions, the traditional definition of security is no longer sufficient. Three capabilities are becoming non-negotiable: (a) a relentless defensive and offensive security tooling arms race; (b) continuous, 24/7 red-teaming and penetration testing; (c) blitz-speed detection, coordination, and response. We have been intensifying precisely these capabilities over the past 3–6 months. What happened over the last few days is one visible incident among several potential threats that have been identified, contained, or neutralized through increasingly proactive security work. This reality is not unique to MultiversX. Every major open-source stack, every blockchain (bitcoin and ethereum not excluded), and soon, every closed source software stack, will increasingly have to adapt to an environment where infrastructure is continuously and deeply probed, attacked, and tested. That requires a much more rugged approach to code. A more adversarial approach to architecture design. And ultimately, a fundamental rethinking of how safety-critical software is built and defended. The three measures above are critical today. But over time, we will need to go much further and rethink security from the ground up for the new world we are actually operating in. Verifiably correct-by-construction software is about to have its moment and become fashionable very quickly. Reality has a way of accelerating standards. Not so much by preference, but by necessity.

Mainnet is back online. And the work continues. These have been difficult days for the MultiversX community. We are deeply grateful to the engineers, validators and ecosystem partners who worked through the recovery, and to everyone who supported them with patience, encouragement and belief. Restoring network activity was the immediate priority. The next steps are to complete the assessment, explain what happened and put the findings into practice. The Foundation is committed to supporting that follow-through, working alongside core contributors, validators and ecosystem partners. The forthcoming technical incident report will detail the incident, how the recovery was carried out and the measures taken to address the issue. Its findings will inform further improvements. The dedication shown throughout this response gives us confidence in the people building MultiversX. We are proud to work alongside this community and determined to carry that commitment forward.

Solid progress made securing the situation. 1. The incident is contained. Fund are safe. In coordination with major global exchanges, the attacker’s accounts have been identified, seized and frozen. Specialized law enforcement is now engaged, and the attacker will face the consequences of his actions. 2. The fix is prepared. The team has defined the mission-critical path to recovery. It is now being rigorously tested and, once cleared, will be executed over the next 1–2 days. This is a moment to stand together. Supernova speed and experience return to full force soon. Forward.

A few notes, only for some crypto people. If you’re not in crypto, please keep scrolling. Nothing to see here. 1. Is Supernova live and delivered? YES. After years of work, it’s live. It works. It’s delivered. 2. Does this change your life? Yes and no. Yes, if you’re building something cool and know how to find users. No, if you're not looking to building anything. 3. Does the Finance Computer use MultiversX? YES. Does it use EGLD? Yes. 4. Is the Finance Computer a product for crypto people? Another thing for crypto people to generously bless with their omniscient wisdom? No. It’s not built for crypto people. Their omniscient wisdom, fortunately, doesn’t apply here. :) 5. Will the Finance Computer spend every day talking about crypto? No. Plain and simple. This is a distinct B2B distribution product. It targets businesses, not crypto users. It speaks their language, solves their problems, and focuses on delivering a service they actually want to use. Less explaining crypto. More of making money actually work better. 6. Now that Supernova is live, will there be new use cases? YES. That’s precisely the point. The Finance Computer is a new interface for bringing these capabilities into the real world. Different audience. Different language. Different distribution. Same underlying rails. 7. Will there be announcements and partnerships? YES. 8. When when when, sirs? Can we have everything today? No. Not everything today. During next week and September, we’ll start sharing the first business use cases. Something merchants and companies can use in a simple way. Beyond that, we’ll have some focused workshops around what the Finance Computer can actually unlock for businesses. Simple language. Clear benefits. Clear next steps. Use cases businesses can use today. 9. Do we have strategic use cases that validate the Finance Computer and meaningfully accelerate momentum? YES. Some very interesting ones. That is the entire point of the finance computer. Let those be cooked. We announce them when they are shipped, or just ready. 10. So when do we get all the information? At the right time. What I can say is this: this quarter will be defining for both the Finance Computer and MultiversX from a business adoption and real-world use case standpoint. We have shipped a massive infrastructure upgrade, with a completely new interface, that speaks a different language for the business world.  Taking that further is the focus now. Crawl, walk, run. 11. Isn't it unprofessional or impolite to block trolls who fill my posts and timeline with NPC rubbish? No. We worked for two years on Supernova. Actually, much longer. We set out to deliver an extremely difficult technical milestone, and we delivered it. Together with the entire team, I am very proud of that milestone. We now stand at the very frontier of performance, on the right ground, with a clear suite of money services ready for the business world. So yes, trolls will disappear from my timeline. Better for everyone that way. In computer science, we have a technical term for this. It’s called garbage collection. Works surprisingly well, highly recommended. :) 12. Are we here to solve all the world's problems? No. We’re here to build a great product and deliver it. Take what is useful. Build on it. Adapt it. Move forward. That’s it. 13. But but but, isn’t this supposed to be for everyone? No. Not everything needs to be for everyone. What we are building stands for something specific. A better way of accessing, moving and programming money. If it resonates with you, and you need it, great. Come build, use it, contribute, push it forward. If it doesn’t, also great. Life is short. Find something else that does. 14. One final thing. Crypto, generally, has gotten so toxic that it feels more and more like an autoimmune disease, the body eating itself from the inside. We are in the process of treating that toxicity. Changing the focus, applying more effort on money used in the real world, communicating to the right distribution target, and spending less time on things that are clearly misaligned. Simple steps can go a long way. That’s the direction. /end of professional rant :) —------ Ps. That said, for the rest of the cool people here, the Finance Computer makes things simple for real world money movement adoption. It abstracts rocket science technology, and makes things just work. Next week we are sharing some simple use cases that enable businesses to take this product and use it. It also enables you as an individual to find businesses you are close to, or love, deliver this to them, and potentially make some money as they adopt it. Anyway. With these milestones delivered, and the new Finance Computer unveiled, we have officially entered the adoption phase.

SUPERNOVA IS LIVE AND DELIVERED! After all these years, and all the work that went into it, I almost can’t believe I can finally say this out loud, *Supernova is fully live.* (Bears repeating every single day for the next 30 days, and just taking it in) And with it, we introduced the Finance Computer. A bold, categorically different, and remarkably simple product. Built on a radical idea: brands, businesses, agents, and robots don’t want more financial complexity. They simply want a better way to access, move, and program money. One connection. Financial superpowers. This is a B2B and B2M product. And the simpler we can make it, the more powerful it becomes. At first, this may feel like a narrative violation to some people in crypto, but then an important realization comes. This product is not built for crypto people. It is built to strike a chord with the real world. Businesses that want money to move instantly. Brands that want financial capabilities embedded directly into their products. Agents and robots that need to transact on their own. All through one simple interface. Regulated. Secure. Global. A new category of machine-ready finance is here, now. Money, capital, assets, and markets moving around the world in a fraction of a second. Open and live 24/7. Programmable by default. Gradually, becoming accessible to anyone, anywhere. This is what the Finance Computer makes possible.

What comes next As I’m writing this I’m in a coffee shop in San Francisco. The room is buzzing. The table is too small. This cappuccino is my third. People leaning over laptops, talking through some new idea, some startup they're trying to will into existence. Two seats over, a kid no older than twenty is pitching his company. He's raising ten million at a hundred-million valuation. A seed round, he says. Loud, bright-eyed, excited. That's the thing about this corner of the world. People still believe that if you want something badly enough, the world will bend a few degrees in your direction. Everywhere else, life goes on as it always has. Yet in the middle of it all, a line got crossed. In a handful of fields, machines now do the work better than the best humans alive. We have stepped onto a new terrain whose heights no person alone can reach. You can already feel the ripples moving through industry after industry, quiet and undeniable, like water finding the cracks. So let me ask the one question that matters. If we can no longer define ourselves by the work we do, if something has outgrown us in raw intellect, what do we take on instead? What is the next hill we're meant to climb? My answer is simple, almost stubborn. Humans were built to do hard things. That's the entire story of our species. Since the early days of history we've been on one long march toward the impossible. Taking dominion over nature, turning accidents into knowledge, bending an indifferent world toward our will. The machines don't end that march. They clear the easy stretches, and make way for the hard and beautiful problems. The ones worth a life. Good. That was always the point. I know a thing or two about this, because I spent the last 7 years building exactly one hard thing. Money has to move, between people, between institutions, and now between agents that act on our behalf, or on their own. Everything that moves capital needs rails to move across. We built the rails. A network that settles a transaction in less time than it takes to blink: you click, and before the thought is finished, it has landed on the other side of the planet. Let me tell you something I've never said out loud. Money stopped being the point a long time ago, before Elrond. There was a moment it could have been the whole story. Of untold heights and lows. Many reporters asked about it. I said nothing. Not out of some false modesty, it genuinely didn't register. I could have been sitting on a beach for a very long time, drinking a good white wine, writing a good book. Maybe that would have been cool. Who knows. But to me it was always about the hard thing. The rise was remarkable. So was the fall. I have been here for every part of it. And I am still here. Building. Maybe more relentless and grounded than the day we started. Maybe more tuned to my own signal than the noise outside. Fact is, I can't shake the gut feeling that what comes next beats whatever came before. Looking at it with clear eyes, I can see it now. The technology we’ve built is phenomenal. We just sold it to the wrong market. Maybe the wrong part of the world. Maybe a few years too early. All of that is true. None of it changes what we made: an open money network that truly scales. We built a Ferrari and parked it in a town with no roads. So now we take it where the roads are. Where capital actually lives. Where agents roam free. Where people still believe a little effort and a little madness can bend the future. The last stretch has been, and still is, unglamorous. But it is critical. Foundations hardened. Hundreds of security challenges discovered and fixed. Structure re-set. Agentic infra built. The right partners in the United States. Crawl, then walk, then run. A supernova is the death of a star. It is also the only thing that seeds new ones. September 10. Supernova. The last upgrade built by humans. A new genesis.

Protecting Users, Pursuing Justice We commend the progress of the legal proceedings surrounding the 2022 Maiar Exchange incident, with those responsible now being held accountable in court. Reaching this point has taken time, resolve, and persistence. As documented in the court proceedings, the incident was the work of individuals who acted with malicious and illegal intent. They leveraged their position to unlawfully exploit an internally known software bug that was already being addressed, striking before the planned fix could be deployed. The attack was detected immediately, around 1am, and contained the same morning. The MultiversX team acted swiftly and decisively to deploy an emergency containment fix, protect user funds, and ensure that every affected user was made whole. From the outset, we notified, enlisted, and worked hand in hand with the relevant law enforcement agencies, providing the guidance and evidence that led to those responsible being brought before the court. The transparency and traceability of our network proved instrumental in tracing the stolen assets and helping the authorities identify those involved. The matter has now reached a partial but favorable resolution, with two of the individuals involved having pleaded guilty. One case remains open, and we will continue to use every means available under the law and offer our full support, both to protect our users and to stand firm against any malicious actor. We intend to see justice fully served, and we trust the process will reach its proper conclusion within the full scope of what the law provides. We encourage our community, and the wider crypto ecosystem, to remain vigilant and proactive: to speak up when something looks wrong, and to stand together against anyone who would do harm. At the same time, we are grateful for all the support and involvement we received from the resourceful developer community, the various law enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties in finding a resolution to this important and difficult matter. In the end, what could have been one of the most serious challenges in our history became a testament to the resilience of our network and the strength of its community. The attack was contained, every user was protected, and those responsible are being held to account. Seeing justice served after all this time is an important milestone. We will always meet such moments the same way: with decisive action, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to our users.

200+ Improvements And Fixes. The Security Marathon Continues We've completed a deep review of every internal and external audit submission received for SUPERNOVA, and finalized implementation of all critical fixes and improvements identified, applying them first and foremost to the production mainnet. A new mainnet security advisory will follow next week. Beyond this release, focus shifts to hardening SUPERNOVA and bringing it above parity with the critical improvements and fixes already battle-tested in production on mainnet. I’ll state this once again for posterity: expect exploits of every kind to continue hitting networks and open-source projects across the space, until the hardening of foundational protocols is taken as the life-or-death matter it is. Every hour invested in security today compounds, saving real money and invaluable time that would otherwise be lost to bad actors hunting for low-hanging fruit. P.S. At the end of this week I'm stepping away from X for 2 - 4 weeks. When I'm back, I'll share the SUPERNOVA RELEASE TIMELINE.

MULTIVERSX DEAD, THE NETWORK IS USELESS, PROGRESS IS HAPPENING TOOOOO SLOW, MARKETING, WHAT IS MARKETING? Fair. Here's the fuller story. Presenting the MULTIVERSX STATE OF THE FOUNDATION REPORT, 2ND Edition. A few key highlights. (a) 5 protocol upgrades. 6 governance proposals passed. Footprint down 60%. (b) A full account for $EGLD holders, what was funded, what was built, what was ratified. (c) A focused look at 2026, SUPERNOVA, and what comes next. The picture is simple: the network has been rebuilt from the ground up. Set for a radical reset with the launch of SUPERNOVA. Ahead of this new GENESIS moment, we are documenting the work, clearing the record, and showing what was built. There's one thing this team has been consistently known for, backed by the data: TECHNOLOGY SUPERIORITY, ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE, PRODUCTIVITY OUTPUT, that benchmarks at the top of the industry. Delivered with a team a fraction the size of our peers. Some other things, I’ll say plainly, are far from optimal: chain focus, business pipeline, revenue traction. SUPERNOVA is where we sharpen the first to a razor’s edge, and reforge the second. The report is the receipt for the last two years, and the HIGH PERFORMANCE NETWORK WE HAVE LIVE TODAY. Onward. Hardening security across every live module. We are in the early weaponization phase of frontier AI. The team is reanalyzing the security assumptions behind every module we run in production. Surface by surface, layer by layer. As we have discovered in the past, MultiversX, myself, and perhaps several other team members have been targets of a highly-sophistication attack campaign, by Lazarus and other groups among them. Every attempt has been detected, contained, defended. What is unmistakable to me, is that the raw intelligence now available to attackers has materially elevated the sophistication, speed, and creativity of these groups. The vital work done by the team has surfaced a class of issues that did not exist as viable threat vectors twelve months ago. Each one identified, patched, and folded back into a continuous hardening pipeline. Security is and continues to be the highest priority over the coming weeks. And the shift here is structural: raw AI offensive capability is being normalized into the baseline threat model of every open source project on earth. Until that single fact is internalized by open source and blockchain teams, new attacks and vulnerabilities will be exploited every single day. Responsible teams should swiftly reorder their priorities around this reality. Now. Alongside the vital work done by our engineering team, we very much appreciate the continuous surgical effort put in by the resourceful network of builders, validators, and community members, surfacing issues, proposing improvements, and sharpening the system as we prepare for what comes next. All focus is on this 360° security review until the hardening phase concludes. Then, the next chapter. SUPERNOVA.

FRESH OFF THE PRESS: EGLD POSITIONED FOR US INSTITUTIONAL ADOPTION 🇺🇸 Arizona Senate Bill 1649 establishes the first Digital Assets Strategic Reserve Fund in the United States, with EGLD named directly in the bill text. The bill introduces an evaluation framework written into law, measuring network strength, development improvements, performance benchmarks. Fourteen assets made the cut. EGLD one of them. This matters far beyond a single state. SB1649 sets a legal precedent for how governments can evaluate and hold digital assets following a deep review of fundamental measurable criteria. The fact that Arizona’s legislature looked at the data and included MultiversX technology alongside Bitcoin and other assets speaks volumes to what the team has been building for years: real infrastructure, real usage, real resilience. If this passes the full House vote, Arizona becomes the first US state to hold a diversified crypto reserve, and EGLD is eligible from day one. Institutional frameworks are being built around networks and assets enabling a robust and resilient foundation to build on for the future. A great example of long efforts from people who care, builders and entrepreneurs from around the world, showing up, and finding new ways to bring contributions to the ecosystem. cc @DigitalGoldTalk Public source: https://azleg.gov/legtext/57leg/2R/bills/sb1649s.pdf

We Are Setting Agents Free On MultiversX, Introducing Agentic Builder Hub, Game On Building has changed. The best developers aren't writing every line of code anymore. They're directing it. Tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex have turned software development into something closer to orchestration: describe what you want, and an AI agent builds it. But the shift is bigger than that. The barrier to building real applications has dropped by an order of magnitude. Anyone with a sharp idea and clear intent can now ship products that once required entire engineering teams. The landscape of who builds, and how fast, has fundamentally expanded. Today, MultiversX is releasing a tool built for this new reality. Introducing the Agent Hub The Agent Hub is a developer portal designed specifically for AI coding agents. It gives agents structured, machine-readable context about MultiversX SDKs and codebases so they produce correct onchain code from the first prompt, not the fifth. Machine-readable discovery. Agents find tools, networks, and smart contract workflows without a human configuring anything. Embedded behavioral guidance. The documentation layer prevents common agent mistakes: wrong network targeting, deprecated API calls, incorrect denomination handling. Starter prompts. Compress onboarding from hours of reading docs to a single interaction. Multi-agent support. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Codex out of the box. This does not replace the existing Builders Hub. That remains the a resource for developers working hands-on with code. But the world has changed, and so did we. The Agent Hub serves this new world reality. The other side of the workflow: the agents those builders now work through. What's behind the door The portal is the front door. Behind it is the infrastructure MultiversX has been shipping for over a year, a full agentic commerce stack: MX-8004: onchain identity and interaction standard for agents UCP: unified agent-to-agent communication protocol ACP and AP2: commerce protocols for autonomous negotiation, payment, and task execution x402: HTTP-native micropayments agents can use without manual setup MCP integration: 14 blockchain interaction tools agents can invoke directly Relayed v3: gasless transactions, so neither agents nor their users need to hold EGLD to start The gap being closed is not capability. The infrastructure was already live. The gap was discoverability, making it findable and immediately usable from inside the tools builders already work with. Build with it, Set your agents free MultiversX is building the infrastructure for an economy where agents transact, negotiate, and settle. Identity. Communication. Commerce. Payments. All onchain, all composable, all live. The Agent Hub makes that stack accessible to every builder and every agent from the first interaction. Whether you're shipping your first smart contract through Cursor or architecting an autonomous agent economy, it starts here. It's agent game on! Explore the Agent Hub → multiversx.com/ai

Supernova, toward agentic coordination, accountability, settlement and global agentic commerce The last few weeks have been abuzz, with the agentic space exploding, quite literally, in terms of adoption. Feeling alive, piercing through the noise, and becoming a real, important and pressing conversation for the global business sector, for the first time. Now, MultiversX, and Supernova especially, have been built to solve the substantial needs for speed and performance that agentic systems require, which far outstrip current blockchain performance benchmarks. Building toward addressing this significant and pressing need, we have shipped the Universal Agentic Commerce Stack, delivering native protocol integrations with payment and instrumentation protocols from Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Coinbase. With these, agents can now tap a new activation and payment highway via MultiversX. The good part is all this is live today! But it's only the first very vital step. Now, I just finished a brief conversation with the team. After triaging and fixing 100+ issues and optimizations discovered across the new version of core protocol, the current state of Supernova is, at last, ready for a wider community battle and stress test, in preparation for the grand release. As anticipation intensifies across the board, the next 2-3 days will see players from around the ecosystem join the ranks of those about to provide a final stress testing round and stamp of validation for Supernova readiness, as part of the Battle of Nodes competition. Supernova is the next evolutionary step in blockchain performance and UX/AX. A foundational coordination, accountability, settlement, and global commerce layer - for agents, all around the world. And now, it is ready for a final round of battle testing. ------------------------ Overall progress update: █████████░ 99% ------------------------

This was a cool conversation with @CraigOPodcast. Worth rewatching, and thinking about it. My sense is that AI is, as we speak, breaking our mental models of what work means, what competence and skill mean at the highest level, how we create and capture value, and how we build and make business in this new phase. I think 2026 will be the year of the big reset, across the board. Every business, every field, every team, will have to face one of its biggest threats, and paradoxically, its biggest opportunities: unprecedented and hyper-competitive productivity unlocks via frontier AI models. Very few things will remain the same, as far as I can see. In this unfolding storm, *MultiversX must serve as the native, high performance, verifiable, coordination layer for agentic AI, with EGLD as an AI credit system*. This is what you’ve been seeing in execution. This is what we've been building toward for a few years. And it’s now unfolding right in front of our eyes. MultiversX is ready to serve the agentic space, today!

JUST IN: MultiversX Becomes First Blockchain to Integrate Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) Three weeks ago, Google launched the Universal Commerce Protocol at the National Retail Federation conference. UCP is an open standard for agentic commerce, a shared language that lets AI agents discover products, negotiate prices, complete checkouts, and handle post-purchase support across any platform. Shopify, Target, Walmart, and over 20 major retailers co-developed it. McKinsey projects this market at $3–5 trillion by 2030. Today, MultiversX ships native infrastructure support for this emerging standard. An important milestone, doubling down on previous integrations announced. AI agents running on Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or any UCP-compliant platform can now transact directly on MultiversX, querying balances, transferring tokens, and executing blockchain operations without human intervention. The implementation is live and ready for integration today. Teaching Agents To Use Blockchain Large language models are remarkably capable, but they hallucinate. Ask an AI agent to send tokens on a blockchain, and it will confidently generate plausible-looking code that doesn't work. It will invent function names, misremember API endpoints, and construct transactions with invalid parameters. This isn't a flaw in the models. It's a context problem. LLMs lack reliable, structured information about how to interact with specific blockchain networks. They guess based on training data, and guessing is not acceptable when real value is at stake. The solution is to give agents what they need: a structured interface that defines exactly what operations are available, what parameters they require, and how to execute them correctly. That's what the Model Context Protocol provides. MCP and UCP: How They Work Together MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard developed by Anthropic and now maintained by the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation. It defines how AI assistants connect to external tools and data sources, replacing fragmented, bespoke integrations with a universal protocol. Over 10,000 MCP servers exist today, adopted by OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and most major AI platforms. UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) is Google's commerce-specific standard. It defines capabilities like checkout, order management, and identity linking. UCP expresses commerce actions as MCP tools. When an agent needs to check out, place an order, or move value, it invokes a tool instead of interpreting an API. This is not "AI plus blockchain." This is standards alignment. When an AI agent operating on a UCP-compliant surface needs to execute a transaction, it can do so through MCP without understanding the underlying blockchain implementation. What the MultiversX MCP Server Does The MultiversX MCP server acts as a bridge between UCP-compliant AI agents and the blockchain. It exposes core operations as structured tools that agents can invoke reliably: Wallet Management Create PEM wallets programmatically Retrieve wallet addresses and network configuration Query balances for any address Token Operations Send EGLD (native token) Transfer fungible tokens, SFTs, NFTs, and MetaESDT Issue new tokens Network Interaction Execute transactions with proper gas estimation Support for Relayed V3 (gasless transactions) Multi-network configuration (devnet, testnet, mainnet) Each operation is defined with explicit parameters, validation rules, and error handling. Agents no longer need to guess; they invoke well-specified tools and receive structured responses. The server integrates with Claude Desktop, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible environment through standard JSON configuration. Setup takes minutes. Building on x402: The Full Stack Last week, we announced x402 integration for MultiversX, the HTTP-native payment protocol originally developed by Coinbase. x402 lets any web service require payment before serving content, with the entire flow embedded in HTTP request/response headers. No redirects, no accounts, no API keys. The MCP server and x402 are complementary layers: x402 handles payments. An agent discovers a service, negotiates terms, submits a signed transaction, and receives access—all programmatically. MCP handles context. The agent understands what operations are available, how to structure requests, and what responses to expect. Together, they form the infrastructure for autonomous economic agents on MultiversX. An AI can discover a data API, pay for access via x402, execute follow-up transactions through MCP, and handle the entire workflow without human involvement. Enabling Agentic Commerce The bottleneck for autonomous systems is no longer intelligence. Models are capable enough to perform complex tasks. The bottleneck is infrastructure: the ability to transact value, access services, and participate in markets programmatically. MultiversX's architecture is well-suited for this use case. With the Supernova upgrade, the network delivers sub-second finality on a fully sharded blockchain. For agents making frequent micropayments or executing high-volume operations, latency and throughput matter. A transaction that takes 30 seconds to confirm breaks the interaction model. A transaction that confirms in under a second enables real-time agent workflows. The practical applications are immediate: Research agents that pay per-query for premium data APIs, assembling composite views from multiple providers Trading agents that execute DeFi strategies autonomously, interacting with smart contracts through structured MCP tools Service agents that monetize their own capabilities, charging for compute, analysis, or specialized functions via x402 Getting Started The MultiversX MCP server with the UCP Integration is open source and available now. For Claude Desktop / Cursor: Add this to your MCP configuration. MCP Server: github.com/multiversx/mx-mcp UCP Specification: developers.google.com/merchant/ucp x402 Integration: github.com/sasurobert/x402 With this release, MultiversX becomes the first Layer 1 blockchain to publish a production-ready UCP-over-MCP integration. The code is open source. The specifications are public. Builders can fork, extend, and deploy. The agent economy needs scalable, integrated infrastructure. MultiversX is offering it, today.

FRESH OFF THE PRESS: MULTIVERSX/EGLD IS GOING AGENTIC 🔥 Let me tell you a story about the internet’s biggest missing piece. Back in the 90s, the architects of the web reserved a specific error code: HTTP 402. You know 404 means "Not Found." Well, 402 was supposed to mean "Payment Required." They dreamed of a web where value flowed as easily as information. But the tech wasn't ready. So, for thirty years, that code sat dormant. A ghost in the machine. Until today. On MultiversX, the ghost just woke up. The Economy You Can't See [Yet] We tend to think of the "digital economy" as you buying sneakers on Shopify or subscribing to Netflix. That is a good starting point, but it will soon be eclipsed by a new economy. This new economy, the one that will dwarf everything we know today, isn't humans buying things. It’s machines paying for humans, and machines paying machines. Take an AI agent. It needs to get some tasks done for you. For now it just asks for your credit card, but that doesn't scale. That payment method was created for human, not agents. It's "autonomous". Consider a second agent: - It pings the shop you want to buy from. - It gets the and makes the payment. - It delivers the result to you. Now multiply that by billions of agents, executing billions of transactions, 24/7/365. That is a GDP layer that currently doesn't exist. It is the "Agent Economy," it's the thing taking shape right as we speak. And hey, this it is going to be wildly, incomprehensibly massive. Today, this infrastructure is no longer theoretical. The x402 implementation for MultiversX is LIVE NOW. The internet has evolved from a library where we read and write, to a market where humans and machines can own and trade at scale. The rails are laid out and ready. Agents don't just chat anymore, now they pay. On MultiversX, with EGLD.

Rebuilding Elrond, The Great Transition We are approaching what feels like one of the most trajectory-altering milestones in our brief history. Not just for the network, or for the ecosystem. But for every single person who has believed, built, or simply held on. Over the past weeks, I've had the same conversation, in different forms, almost every day. Some brief. Some deeply illuminating. But all circling the same gravitational center: what is the thing that recaptures attention, ours and the world's, and puts us back at the frontier? The first conversation has been with the team. Watching them build this new engine that has emerged, slowly, painstakingly, and then almost at once. There are two ways to look at it. One is technical, studying the system, the code, the architecture, appreciating the years of effort compressed into something objectively and fundamentally better. The second way is simpler, more immediate, almost visceral: execute a simple transaction on “the old MultiversX architecture”. Then execute the same simple transaction on Supernova. If you have the eyes to see it, that moment right there, is staggering. Observing both, the meticulous building and then the results, that somehow still surprise me. You understand that something foundational has changed, and this time, you can really feel it. This week, we are closing in on the last known bugs, preparing for a final wave of specialized chaos testing before the public battles begin. A refreshing milestone. To come back to the question, this new Supernova experience provides the first and strong answer. One that reshapes what users, builders, and investors weigh when they look at a project like ours. A new standard for speed. For scalability. For resilience. For what it actually feels like to use a blockchain. This is Supernova. The second conversation took me through the same point, but from the opposite angle. We revisited the same question with a long-time investor, someone who has been part of Elrond, then MultiversX, through all the seasons. Once I showed him Supernova in practice, something shifted. He saw it differently. So much so that he found this great moment to take the opportunity and add a significant new position to his EGLD stake. The Elves are, slowly, coming back. People who have been here for years, the good years and the difficult years, are returning to look with fresh eyes at everything that has been built. While markets have been brutal across the board, taking a close look at this sometimes excruciating progress is humbling. It opens a different perspective on what now becomes possible. A good moment to pause. Take a closer look. Test the new experience. Let it become what it was always meant to be: a rebirth. Supernova.

The Generational Reset, the New Frontier, and the Rebirth of Elrond/MultiversX Something fundamental has shifted. The core assumptions that guided builders, users, and investors across global markets have been detonated. The scaffolding we relied on is broken and gone, and what rises next will be built on different grounds. This applies to business generally, but also to the crypto landscape. The way builders build has changed. The way users discover and engage has changed. The way investors invest and capital flows has changed. It is time to recognize this for what it is: a structural secular trend, that will not stop anytime soon. This is the environment where the rebirth of Elrond/MultiversX is forged. In some sense, Supernova is the last fortress. Ownership, grounded in mathematics and cryptography. A stake in one of the most scalable and high performance blockchain architectures ever built. Privacy woven into the very fabric of the protocol. A new AI native money, built on top of this network. Consider a very nearterm scenario, with a world where AI performs 90% of our work, shapes our entertainment, and mediates our interactions every single day. What becomes critical and scarce in that scenario? Verifiability. Determinism. Programmability. Resilient uncensorable trust that does not depend on institutions. This is what blockchain provides at its core. And what Supernova, through its architectural re-invention, is purpose built to deliver. Grounding AI interactions in verifiable deterministic outcomes. Providing the rails for cooperation and coordination at scale. A money and finance fiber, capable of delivering scale, speed and UX standards, for the age of AI. This is the frontier. This is Supernova. ------------------------ Overall progress update: █████████░ 97.7% ------------------------

We’re preparing to initiate the Supernova governance vote on January 8. This vote asks EGLD stakeholders to approve the activation of Supernova, the most significant protocol upgrade in MultiversX history. Supernova introduces a fundamental architectural upgrade to the network, building on the Andromeda consensus redesign. A full governance walkthrough and supporting materials will be published ahead of the vote.
