Upbit to Delist the ICX/KRW Trading Pair on Oct. 19 South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, announced that it will delist the ICX/KRW trading pair at 3:00 p.m. on October 19, 2026, Korea Standard Time. All outstanding orders will be canceled. Upbit stated that ICON (ICX) may face unresolved or unremedied security incident risks, and that the reasons for ending trading support have not been resolved since the asset was designated as an investment caution asset. After trading support ends, the platform will continue to support withdrawals until November 18. ICON is a Layer 1 blockchain launched in 2017, while ICX is its native token, primarily used in the past for network transactions, staking, and governance.

Economic Shutdown and Migration Rewards and emissions on the ICON Network have officially ended. The network has entered economic shutdown. Here’s what that means, what happens next, and how to move your $ICX to $SODA. The ICON Network has entered economic shutdown: staking rewards and all token emissions have ended. The network is no longer incentivized. The network remains live for migration: ICX holders can still access their assets and migrate to SODA on the Sonic network via sodax.com/migrate. SODA Stake and SODAX Pool are already live: once migrated, you can stake your SODA and provide liquidity for access to further incentives.. The ICON Network has reached the end of its economic lifecycle. All staking rewards and token emissions have stopped. This means holding or staking ICX on the ICON Network no longer generates any opportunities for yield. This has been a planned transition. The SODAX ecosystem, built to carry forward the technology and community that ICON established, has been preparing for this moment. With Swap, Migrate, Stake, and Pool (coming soon) live on sodax.com, the infrastructure for ICX holders to transition is ready. What’s Still Running The ICON Network isn’t going offline. It remains live specifically so that ICX holders have time to migrate their assets to SODA. During this period, the network operates in maintenance mode. Consensus is handled by a reduced validator set of 7 core nodes, enough to keep the network functional for asset transfers and migration, without the full validator infrastructure that supported the network during its active period. This window exists for you. If you hold ICX, use it. How to Migrate Your ICX to SODA The migration process is straightforward. Here’s what to do: Step 1: Get a small amount of S token. You’ll need S (the native gas token on the Sonic network) to transact with your SODA tokens once they arrive. Make sure you have a small quantity in your Sonic wallet before migrating. You can acquire S by swapping on SODAX Swap, or through any exchange that supports it. Step 2: Head to SODAX Migrate. Connect your wallet and follow the migration flow. The app will guide you through converting your ICX to SODA on the Sonic network. Step 3: Done. Once migrated, your SODA is on Sonic and ready to use across the SODAX ecosystem: stake it, supply it to a liquidity pool, or hold it. For detailed step-by-step walkthroughs, visit support.sodax.com. The support team has published guides covering every part of the migration process: How do I migrate ICX to SODA on SODAX Migrate? What to Do With Your SODA Migrating is step one. Here’s what’s available once you hold SODA: Stake your SODA: Head to SODAX Stake to stake your SODA and receive xSODA, a yield-bearing liquid staking token. Stakers earn a share of 20% of all fees generated by the SODAX system. Staking rewards begin on April 8, 2026, so the sooner you stake, the sooner you’re earning. For the full staking guide, see: How do I stake SODA on SODAX Stake? Supply liquidity: SODAX Pool launches on March 31, 2026 with the SODA/xSODA liquidity pool. Supply both SODA and xSODA to earn additional rewards on top of staking yield. Pool rewards begin April 2, 2026. For the full liquidity providing guide, see: Hold and participate: The SODAX ecosystem is governed by DAO votes. As a SODA holder, you’re part of the community shaping how the protocol evolves. Find SODAX governance votes here. The Path Forward The ICON Network served as the foundation for the technology and community that SODAX now carries forward. The economic shutdown marks the completion of that transition — not an ending, but a handoff. The SODAX ecosystem is live. The tools are ready. If you’re still holding ICX, now is the time to migrate and start putting your SODA to work. Information for Validators For validators, the removal of the 1% bond and reduction of the validator set allows you to unbond your ICX without penalty and migrate to SODA at any time. Thank you to all validators for your years of service in securing the ICON Network, and on throughout this transition. While the network is winding down its economic activity, all network participants can be assured that their ICX remains safe. The ICON blockchain will stay live to allow for ongoing migration to SODA. The SODAX ecosystem is live. The tools are ready. If you’re still holding ICX, now is the time to migrate and start putting your SODA to work. Migrate at sodax.com/migrate Stake at sodax.com/stake SODAX Pool launches next week for liquidity providers. Guides at support.sodax.com Stay Liquid. 🥤

SODAX Stake Live SODAX Stake is now live: stake $SODA to receive xSODA, a yield-bearing staking token that grows in value over time. Staking rewards begin April 8, 2026: funded by a 20% share of all fees generated across the SODAX system. ICX holders can now fully migrate to SODAX: with Stake joining Swap and Migrate apps, the SODAX ecosystem is now ready for the community. The SODAX ecosystem just hit another major milestone. Today, SODAX Stake is officially live, giving SODA holders a way to earn protocol rewards simply by committing their tokens to the system. If you hold SODA, staking is one of the most meaningful ways to participate in the growth of SODAX. And if you're an $ICX holder who has been waiting for the right moment to migrate, this is it. What is SODAX Stake? SODAX Stake is a dedicated app on sodax.com that allows you to put your SODA tokens to work. By staking, you commit your SODA to a smart contract that supports protocol stability, in return, you earn a share of fees generated across the entire SODAX system. Think of it like a savings account for your SODA, but with a few differences unique to Decentralized Finance (DeFi). When you stake, your SODA is deposited and you receive xSODA in return. xSODA is a yield-bearing token that represents your share of the staking pool. Unlike a traditional bank where your balance ticks up in cents, xSODA is designed to increase in value relative to SODA over time. When you eventually unstake, your xSODA will be worth more SODA than when you started. How Rewards Work Rewards for SODAX Stake are sourced from the Fee Treasury, specifically, a 20% revenue share of fees generated by the SODAX system. Every transaction routed through SODAX generates fees. A portion of those fees flows into the staking pool, increasing the value of xSODA held by stakers. This means the APY is variable. During periods of high trading volume and cross-network activity, stakers may see higher returns. During quieter periods, the APY may be lower. The SODAX Stake app displays an estimated APY based on current conditions so you always have visibility into what to expect. Also note that until rewards begin on April 8, APY will show as 0%. Because the value of xSODA grows automatically, your rewards compound without you needing to manually claim and re-deposit them. Stake once, and your position grows on its own. Rewards begin on April 8, 2026. Make sure you are staked before this date to start earning from day one. How to Stake Getting started takes less than a minute: Head to sodax.com and click Launch Apps in the top-right. Select Stake from the left-hand menu. Connect your wallet for the network where you hold SODA. Choose the network you want to stake from using the drop-down menu. Enter the amount of SODA you wish to stake: use the slider, click "max", or type a number. Review the details (xSODA you'll receive, estimated APY) and click Stake. Approve the transaction in your wallet, and you're done. Your xSODA balance will be shown inside the SODAX Stake app. For a full walkthrough from holding ICX, to holding xSODA, visit our support guides below for: How do I migrate ICX to SODA on SODAX Migrate? How do I stake SODA on SODAX Stake? Make sure you have a small amount of the network's gas token (e.g. S on Sonic) to cover the transaction fee while staking. Understanding Unstaking When you decide to unstake, you're returning your xSODA to receive the higher amount of SODA it now represents (your original stake plus accumulated rewards). There are three ways to approach unstaking, each with different trade-offs: Wait the unstaking period. The standard unstaking period is 6 months. Wait the full duration and you receive the complete value of your staked SODA including all accrued rewards. This is the approach that preserves your full return. Unstake immediately with a penalty. If you want to exit the 6 month wait early, you can unstake immediately by paying a penalty of up to 50% of your staked value. The penalty is variable and depends on how much of the unstaking period you've already completed. Exchange xSODA for SODA on the market. Because xSODA is a liquid token, you can trade it directly for SODA using the market. This alternative option is offered to you as an alternative to the unstaking period, but can result in lower actual rewards. All three options are available through the unstaking experience on SODAX Stake. And if you initially choose to wait but conditions change, you can cancel your unstake and pick a different path. For the full step-by-step, see: How do I unstake SODA on SODAX Stake? What This Means for ICX Holders With SODAX Stake live, the SODAX ecosystem is prepared for the migration of ICX holders to the new SODA token.. The roadmap keeps moving. The next app to go live will be SODAX Pool, launching on March 24. Pool will expand opportunities for liquidity providers to earn rewards for depositing to the SODA/xSODA liquidity pool. ICON Network: Migration Roadmap and SODAX Reward Schedule All rewards and incentives on the ICON Network will cease by March 26, 2026. SODAX Stake will launch on March 16, and SODAX Pool on March 24, 2026. ICX holders should ensure that their ICX is migrated to SODA and staked by April 8, 2026 (when staking rewards begin) in order to maximize their rewards. We are approaching the final phases of the ICON Network’s economic shutdown, as it transitions from a standalone Layer 1 to the core infrastructure of the @gosodax DeFi execution system. To ensure a smooth transition for all participants, we are providing a clear timeline for the launch of SODAX Stake, SODAX Pool, and the commencement of reward distributions. The Transition Timeline As economic activity on the ICON Network winds down, please note the following dates for sunsetting legacy incentives on @BalancedDeFi: March 2, 2026: Balanced Savings Rate rewards will end. March 13, 2026: Balanced ICX/sICX liquidity rewards will end. March 26, 2026: The target date for ICON Network’s Economic Shutdown. At this point, new ICX emissions will no longer be minted as rewards. *The dates above may be subject to change as development progresses and should be used as guidance until actioned. SODAX Stake and Pool Launch The SODAX Stake and SODAX Pool applications are targeted for release in March. This marks the official opening of the final migration window, where users can: Migrate: ICX for SODA at a 1:1 ratio at sodax.com/migrate. Stake: [Launching March 16] to receive xSODA, granting a share of protocol revenue. Pool: [Launching March 24] to provide liquidity to the SODA/xSODA pool. *The dates above may be subject to change as development progresses and should be used as guidance until actioned. Reward Distribution Strategy While the SODAX infrastructure has been accumulating fees since its launch on Sonic, distributions will not begin immediately upon the launch of the staking app. We have opted for a pre-launch staking period to allow all ICX holders ample time to unstake and migrate following the ICON Network's economic shutdown. Reward Commencement: Distributions are planned to begin for SODAX Pool on March 31, 2026 and for SODAX Stake on April 8, 2026. SODAX Stake reward source: Rewards for SODAX Stake will consist of a designated 20% portion of SODAX-generated fees. SODAX Pool reward source: To incentivize early liquidity and to kick-start revenue from the pool, rewards will first be provided from the 10% portion of SODAX-generated fees directed to the DAO. This will be tapered off over time as volume becomes self-sustaining. Accumulated Backlog: For the first six to twelve months, SODAX Stake rewards will be bolstered by a backlog of accumulated fees and migrated incentive funds from the ICON Network. To maximize your portion of these initial accumulated rewards, ensure your SODA balance is staked by the time distributions go live on April 8. Information for Validators For validators, the removal of the 1% bond requirement allows you to unbond your ICX without penalty at any time. While you may remain on the ICON network until the economic shutdown, to self-stake and continue earning legacy rewards, the ideal timing for final migration is immediately following that economic shutdown to ensure readiness for SODAX Stake rewards, launching in April. Thank you to all validators for your years of service in securing the ICON Network, and on throughout this transition. While the network is winding down its economic activity, all network participants can be assured that their ICX remains safe. The ICON blockchain will stay live and migration to SODA will remain two-way until further notice. Once SODA staking is live, operations will be fully focused on a single token ecosystem, where value is concentrated into the infrastructure.

ICON Network Sunsets Balanced Incentives The transition to @gosodax is moving into its final stages. As the ICON Network’s economic activity winds down and focus shifts to the new hub-chain infrastructure on Sonic, we are also sunsetting the legacy incentive structures that powered our earlier DeFi ecosystem. This month, we outlined the phased shrinkage of the ICON Network. Today, we are providing clarity on what this means for sICX holders and @BalancedDeFi users. What is changing? The ICON Foundation has previously incentivized the Balanced Savings Rate and the ICX/sICX liquidity pool. As the network enters its final lifecycle phases, these rewards are coming to an end: Savings Rate rewards: Ending the on March 2. Liquidity rewards: Ending on March 13. Why is this happening? We are sunsetting the high costs of maintaining an independent Layer 1 and redirecting those resources toward powering fee-generating DeFi applications with SODAX. The sICX capital previously used to generate these incentives is being migrated to the unified liquidity inventory of the SODAX system. Reallocation of funding to SODAX The remaining funds held within the contracts for Balanced incentives will be transferred to the SODAX DAO, to be used for new liquidity incentives following the launch of SODAX Stake and SODAX Pool. Next steps for you. While the ICON blockchain will remain live for transactions and migration, there will soon be zero incentive to keep funds in legacy liquidity pools or the Savings Rate. Withdraw & Unstake: Prepare to withdraw your funds from Balanced as they stop earning rewards, and unstake your sICX. Claim Rewards: Claim any remaining staking or liquidity rewards once funds have been withdrawn. Prepare for SODA: When the SODAX Stake app launches (expected this March), you will be able to migrate your ICX to SODA at a 1:1 ratio, and stake them for rewards. You will be able to stake, and also supply newly migrated SODA to the SODAX Money Market for yield, once SODAX Stake and SODAX Pool launch – as part of the ongoing roadmap for the ICON Network’s economic shutdown. To keep an eye on the progress of migration, be sure to follow us (and @gosodax) here on X, and check our blog for updates.

SODA Migration Enters its Next Phase with CEX Support Coinone is the first centralized exchange to announce their support of ICX to SODA migration.. Individuals holding ICX on supporting exchanges will not need to take further action to migrate. Additional supporting exchanges will be added below once announced, along with their timelines. Following the successful completion of our community test migration through the SODAX app, SODA migration enters its second phase. Over the coming weeks we will begin sharing updates of the centralized exchanges participating, allowing ICX holders on supported platforms to automatically migrate their held $ICX on ICON, to $SODA on Sonic. What this means for ICX holders If your ICX is held on a supporting centralized exchange, you won’t need to take any additional steps. Once your exchange executes the migration, your ICX balance will automatically convert to SODA, and your account will reflect the new token once trading and withdrawals resume. Please note: while exchanges prepare for migration, deposits and withdrawals of ICX will be suspended. Always check your exchange’s official announcements for exact timing and confirmation of support before making any transfers. Do not send ICX to an exchange address after the migration process has begun, as this may result in loss of funds. Coinone leads the way We’re pleased to share that @CoinoneOfficial will be the first centralized exchange to support the ICX → SODA migration. Deposits and withdrawals of ICX on Coinone will be suspended on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:50 PM (KST). After suspension, Coinone will take a record of ICX balances held on the exchange and migrate those balances to SODA. Once the migration process is complete, Coinone users will see their updated SODA balances directly in their accounts. More exchanges coming soon Additional centralized exchanges are already preparing to join the migration. As each confirms its schedule, we’ll update this blog post and our master thread on X with the key dates and any further instructions that may be required. Stay tuned to find out when your exchange of choice will support SODA.. CEX migration is the next major step in the transition to SODAX. Future phases will continue to expand support and finalize one-directional migration, along with on-chain features such as staking and liquidity. For more on the broader migration roadmap, visit the SODAX Roadmap, follow us on X, or join the conversation on Discord.

Introducing SODAX SDKs Since 2017, the ICON Project has focused on building a more connected DeFi ecosystem. Now, it has evolved into SODAX. This new vertically integrated DeFi Platform brings together years of development to power the next generation of multichain DeFi. With hub-chain infrastructure deploying to @SonicLabs, we can now share the Unified Liquidity Layer, connecting DeFi and liquidity across 6 different tech stacks, EVM and beyond. Developers can tap into this layer to build scalable, seamless, multichain protocols with fast settlement and intents-based execution. To make this even easier, we’re introducing the SODAX SDK — a set of tools designed to simplify access to this powerful multichain infrastructure. Unlocking the Unified Liquidity Layer SODAX SDKs give developers flexible access to our full range of multichain capabilities: SODAX SDK (Core) SODAX Wallet SDK (Optional) SODAX dApp Kit (Optional) Supporting your development from backend integrations to frontend acceleration. SODAX SDK The SODAX SDK is the foundation for any integration into SODAX’s Unified Liquidity Layer. It exposes the full suite of SODAX features (including intent-based execution, multichain DeFi primitives, and access to Protocol-Owned Liquidity) through a streamlined set of interfaces and functions. For wallet connectivity, developers can either implement the included wallet provider interfaces or plug into the SODAX Wallet SDK for a more seamless experience. Example: Through the core SODAX SDK @BalancedDeFi connects seamlessly to over 6 tech stacks, reaching all of our integrated blockchains. This coverage allows their users to swap with intent-based execution, provide collateral, and mint Balanced’s $bnUSD stablecoin to and from any chain with a native experience. SODAX Wallet SDK The SODAX Wallet SDK is a dedicated wallet connectivity dev kit supporting multi-chain wallet operations, including transaction signing, broadcasting, and retrieval. It is fully compliant with the SODAX SDK wallet provider interface, ensuring seamless integration. This SDK simplifies the handling of wallet operations across diverse blockchain environments, enabling projects to offer wallet-native UX for every user, regardless of chain. SODAX dApp Kit The SODAX dApp Kit is a frontend utility kit optimized for React and Next.js applications. It leverages the capabilities of the SODAX SDK and wallet SDK, delivering a set of modular hooks, components, and utilities that accelerate dApp development — with modular, production-ready building blocks. With out-of-the-box support for wallet connection, transaction flow, and cross-chain state management, this kit reduces frontend build time and enables teams to go to market faster. Making Multichain Easy By using the SODAX SDKs, projects can reach beyond the audience and potential liquidity fragmentation of their native chain (or the EVM ecosystem entirely). Tapping into a truly multichain, capital-efficient DeFi infrastructure. The SODAX SDK unlocks seamless access to protocol-owned liquidity and deep, native liquidity partners across 10+ chains and 6 tech stacks. The Wallet SDK enables robust multichain wallet support. The dApp Kit accelerates frontend development with production-ready building blocks.
