The AI Loop #27: Google's Agentic Era, SpaceX's $2T Vision, and OpenAI’s Upcoming IPO Welcome to The AI Loop #28. AI's biggest players are thinking much bigger than models. This week, Google unveiled its vision for an Agentic Gemini Era, OpenAI reportedly began preparing for one of the most anticipated IPOs in tech history, and SpaceX made its case for a nearly $2 trillion future built on satellites, rockets, and AI infrastructure. On the Perle side, we're gearing up for a busy summer and fall ahead, with more events, community activities, and a few things we're excited to share soon. Here’s what happened this week. Perle Labs Update The team spent this week planning for a busy stretch of upcoming events, partnerships, and activations heading into the second half of the year. There will be plenty more opportunities for the community to get involved over the coming months. We’re also getting ready to roll out a new community campaign in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, our weekly Discord events are in full swing. There are new ways to participate every week and rewards up for grabs for top performers. Top AI Stories Google Enters Its Agentic Gemini Era @Google used I/O 2026 to unveil what CEO Sundar Pichai called the company's "Agentic Gemini Era," a vision where AI becomes a persistent assistant that works alongside users rather than simply responding to prompts. The company introduced new agent capabilities across Search, Workspace, Android, YouTube, and Gemini itself. One of the most notable updates allows users to create personalized information agents that continuously monitor topics, synthesize updates, and surface insights without requiring repeated searches. The bigger story is what this says about where AI is heading. Search is evolving from a place where people find information into a place where AI actively manages information on their behalf. Google isn't just building a chatbot anymore. It's trying to build the operating system for how people interact with knowledge. Source: Economic Times OpenAI Prepares for Wall Street @OpenAI is reportedly preparing to confidentially file for an IPO in the coming weeks, setting the stage for what could become one of the most anticipated public offerings in technology history. The company was most recently valued at roughly $730 billion and could begin trading as early as September if plans move forward. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are reportedly assisting with the filing process. The timing is notable. OpenAI, Anthropic, Cerebras, and SpaceX are all moving toward public markets or major liquidity events, highlighting how quickly AI has evolved from a research breakthrough into one of the largest investment themes in the world. Source: The New York Times SpaceX's $2 Trillion AI Bet @SpaceX officially revealed more details behind its upcoming IPO this week, with investors evaluating a company that could be worth nearly $2 trillion. What's interesting is that this isn't simply a bet on rockets. The long-term vision ties together Starlink, Starship, satellite infrastructure, and eventually AI itself. The thesis is that cheaper launches and global connectivity will create entirely new markets for compute, communications, and AI services. Despite reporting billions in quarterly losses, investor interest remains strong because many believe the next AI race won't just be won by better models, but by the infrastructure supporting them. Source: TechCrunch Stay in the Loop This week highlighted how AI is expanding in every direction at once. Google is reshaping how people interact with information, OpenAI is preparing to enter public markets, and SpaceX is betting that the future of AI will require entirely new infrastructure. The models continue to improve, but the conversation is increasingly shifting toward deployment, distribution, infrastructure, and trust. At Perle, we believe the same principle applies to data. As AI systems become more capable and more integrated into the real world, the quality and verifiability of the human knowledge behind them becomes increasingly important.
