UK banks and @UKFtweets have completed the first live customer transactions using tokenised sterling deposits on #GBTD, the platform built by @quantnetwork. Two remortgages and a marketplace purchase, each settling automatically the moment agreed conditions were met. This is the move from simple push/pull transfers to #programmablepayments. Same trusted bank money, same protections, now able to carry its own rules. And it happened on shared infrastructure, with #tokeniseddeposits moving between institutions on a common platform built for the whole industry.
