Sun’s X post regarding today’s hearing on World Liberty’s Motion to Compel Arbitration is riddled with falsehoods. The Court did not make any rulings but agreed with World Liberty that many claims brought by Sun’s companies must go to arbitration—and even Sun’s lawyers had to concede in the courtroom that these claims do not belong in court. What Sun is calling a “major victory” – that his personal, as opposed to his companies’, claims are not subject to arbitration – is nothing of the sort. What he fails to mention is that World Liberty never suggested those claims should go to arbitration. Rather, World Liberty has moved to dismiss those claims on the merits and in their entirety (and the Court has not yet ruled on that motion). In the meantime, Sun is actively avoiding service of process in the defamation lawsuit World Liberty filed against him in Florida.
