Flaw Cost AI Just $2 to Find, Dragonfly’s Haseeb Qureshi Says Dragonfly Managing Partner Haseeb Qureshi said the Coldcard wallet incident shows AI is reshaping the economics of crypto security, with product safety increasingly determined by how much companies spend on AI-powered testing. He introduced a “Cost of Discovery” metric to measure how cheaply a frontier model can reproduce a vulnerability, estimating the Coldcard flaw’s cost at roughly USD 2. Qureshi noted that a reported eight-minute Claude Code discovery may have been influenced by web search, but said a separate offline GLM test reproduced the issue in about 20 minutes.
