$US Staking Hub & Transition to Protocol v2.0 Mainnet The $US Staking Hub has officially closed to new staking positions as of August 3rd, 2026.. All existing positions, accrued rewards, and lockup terms are honored in accordance with their original terms, including the return rate locked in at deposit. Withdrawal rails remain open as positions complete their terms. Existing stakers can view their positions at us.talus.foundation. Honoring All Existing Positions The Loyalty Rewards Program on the $US Staking Hub served its exact intended purpose: bootstrapping early $US token distribution and rewarding our initial community through TGE and early network launch. This initial phase has concluded. Separately, Protocol v2.0 introduces a functional staking mechanism for network operation. So what does this mean? What's Closed: New staking deposits and term upgrades. Nothing else changes. No Action Required: Existing stakers do not need to alter their positions. Full Honor of Terms: Every position continues under the return rate locked in at deposit, through its original term (3, 6, or 12 months). When the term completes, your position unlocks and you withdraw your stake and rewards together. Claims and Withdrawals: Vested rewards remain claimable at any time past their unlock date. Withdrawal of staked tokens and accrued rewards is governed by the applicable Staking Terms. We intend to provide advance notice before any change to the claim or withdrawal process. The Road Ahead: $US Utility in Protocol v2.0 We are winding down entry into the early rewards hub to prepare for the functional, utility-driven staking model powering Talus Protocol v2.0, which is currently on Testnet, with Mainnet deployment expected in the coming weeks, subject to development timelines. In v2.0, $US serves as the active crypto-economic backbone of the Talus Network: Leader Staking: Node operators are expected to stake $US to join the Leader Network, route offchain data, and secure workflow execution. Tool Registration: Developers are expected to stake $US to register and publish to the Talus Tool Marketplace. Further updates on the v2.0 Mainnet deployment will be shared on the @Talus_Labs account. For more information related to staking (How-to’s/Guides) please refer to the Talus Foundation Docs. Statements regarding future protocol functionality are forward-looking and subject to change. Staking is governed by the Staking Terms, which prevail over this post in the event of any inconsistency.
