South Africa Proposes Reporting Rules for Cross-Border Crypto Transfers South Africa’s National Treasury and Reserve Bank released draft rules that, for the first time, set out when crypto transfers are treated as cross-border transactions. Transfers from local providers to offshore platforms or non-custodial wallets would require authorised processing and reporting, while individuals would remain subject to existing foreign-exchange allowances. Public comments close September 30.
