On 25 June at the Digital Innovation Summit, @UKFtweets released a new video explaining the Great British Tokenised Deposit (GBTD) initiative in plain terms, what it is, how it works, and why it matters. GBTD brings together seven banks and building societies, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, Monzo, Nationwide Building Society, NatWest and Santander, alongside legal support from Linklaters, PMO from EY and technology support from Quant. It's a new orchestration layer for sterling #tokeniseddeposits, bringing #programmability to the money we all use today.
