The Information: U.S. DOJ Told Prosecutors to Expect Less Cooperation From Binance According to The Information, the U.S. Department of Justice circulated an internal memo in June advising prosecutors handling crypto-related cases to expect less cooperation from Binance in future investigations, citing potential new requirements for asset freeze and seizure requests. Binance denied implementing any such changes, saying its cooperation with U.S. law enforcement “has not changed and will not change.” The report also said Binance is actively negotiating to formally end the DOJ monitorship established after its 2023 criminal settlement, while the Treasury-appointed monitorship remains ongoing.
