Builder Spotlight | Sofia What happened to the last great article you found? Be honest. You saved it somewhere. A bookmark folder, a note, a group chat. And that's where it died. Sam and Max think that's kind of insane. All that judgment, all that taste, and none of it counts for anything. So they built Sofia: an app built on Intuition where the things you save and stand behind add up to a reputation you actually own. Two developers, one bootcamp, one very big idea. This is their story. Two Paths to the same Idea Sam and Max are both full-stack web3 devs, and honestly, that's about where the similarities end. Sam spent close to six years in technical support before switching to code. He builds under the name @Passive_records, and his obsession has stayed the same the whole way: AI should learn from knowledge everyone owns, not knowledge one company controls. Max? Music production and live events. He builds as @MoodzMaxime, and his product philosophy comes straight from the studio: iterate fast, trust feedback, ship, repeat. They met at The Hacking Project, a coding bootcamp. That's also where Intuition found them โ Zet from the Intuition community told them about the protocol while they were still going through the program, and as they tell it, that one tip set the direction for everything that followed. Here's the fun part: at the time, they were sketching a bookmarking tool. Nice, useful, nothing crazy. Then they looked at what Intuition could actually do โ let anyone make claims about anything, stake $TRUST behind them, and record it all in an open knowledge graph โ and the plan got a lot bigger. This was the primitive they'd been searching for without knowing it: the thing that could make bookmarking multiplayer. Saving a page stopped being a private note to yourself and became an arena for social interaction, out in the open for others to see and vote on. Likes are Zzzzzz Think about how the internet decides what you see. Likes. Shares. Views. Numbers that go up when someone taps a button, whether they mean it or not. A like costs nothing, so it tells you almost nothing. And plenty of them aren't even human: bots pump those numbers at scale, every single day. Sam and Max built Sofia around the opposite idea: signal should cost something. When standing behind a page means staking real $TRUST on it, noise gets expensive and honest signal floats to the top. A bot can still fake it, sure. It just has to deal with a price tag for anyone to care. That's what Sofia runs on. It's a public feed of tech watch, curated and ranked by the users themselves. You save a page, you certify it, you stake $TRUST to stand behind it. Your peers vote on what you share, and their ranking becomes your reputation. One that, as Sam and Max put it, "belongs to you, for good." So who decides what shows up in your feed? Not the loudest accounts. That's the design decision Sam and Max believe will matter most: Sofia runs on Trust Circles. You follow the people whose judgment you actually rely on, and that's what shapes your signal. Relevance stays personal. The popularity contest never starts. The thing they're most excited about right now takes that one step further. Circle Pro brings trust circles to communities: a DAO sponsors its members activity, and in return it finally gets to see who actually knows their stuff, who really contributes, and who's earned a voice in governance. In fact, the first partner DAOs are already onboarding. The Quiet Stretch From the outside, Sofia has had quiet periods. Here's the thing: that was on purpose. Sam and Max went deep on the product before opening it up to a market, and the depth cost them visibility. "From the outside it can look quiet. Under the hood it was the opposite. We regularly work more than ten hours a day, and weekends too." A lot of that work is the kind nobody claps for. They rebuilt the Sofia proxy from the ground up, got the second version validated by the Intuition team, and made the app meaningfully safer to use in the process. In their words, it "opens up a huge field of possibilities." No big headlines there, but every flashy feature down the road will be built on these foundations. If crypto has taught them one lesson the hard way, it's that shipping the software is only a fraction of the job. Real users define what the product becomes, and adapting fast beats any roadmap. And those users won't just be crypto natives. Intuition is enabling the first wave of onchain apps for everyday consumers, and Sofia is built to be one of them: you save a page, and the protocol quietly does its job in the background. But this doesn't come without a trade-off. When the whole company is two people, things get intense, fast. Sam and Max describe working together as something close to being in a couple: it runs on emotion day to day, and it only works because they genuinely get along and respect each other. Why Sofia Exists There's one more layer to this story, and it's the biggest one: AI. Around Intuition, this comes up in every conversation โ core team, ecosystem builders, dozens of people on completely different projects, even outside our whole ecosystem โ and somehow everyone arrives at the same conclusion. AI is moving faster than anyone can track, it's about to sit between us and everything we know, and we need an arena for coordination. Sam and Max got there too, from their own direction, and they're blunt about the stakes: if we don't build things that help us hold our ground against the tech giants, we're going to straight up ZERO. Sofia is their hedge against. A place where human judgment gets recorded, backed, and owned by the humans themselves, not by whoever runs the algorithm. And that's why it lives on Intuition. For judgment to be worth anything, it has to be verifiable, it has to cost something to fake, and nobody should be able to delete it out from under you. That's exactly what the protocol provides, and the founders don't mince words about it: "The more we build, the clearer it gets: Sofia could not exist without Intuition." So that's Sam and Max. Two devs with different backgrounds, one bootcamp, and an app where your taste finally counts for something. Want to see it working? Their own tech watch is public on their Sofia profiles: everything they're watching, reading and listening to, staked and ranked. Go give @0xSofia3 a follow and get involved. For all the Builders: we're cooking something powerful for anyone who wants to plug Intuition into their own project, or build something entirely new that wasn't possible before. The Intuition Discord is where you'll hear about it first. Come hang out โ you'll find Sam and Max in there too. $TRUST the process
