The World Cup is underway. So is the one you can enter. The FIFA World Cup is underway. Forty-eight teams, five weeks, one trophy. We are starting one of our own. The Zero Cup is 0G's global vibe coding tournament: an online knockout bracket where anyone can turn an idea into a working AI app and compete for a $17,000 prize pool. The official site is live at https://0g.ai/arena/zero-cup, and registration is open now. Here is the part that matters: you do not need to be a developer to play. No CS degree required Most competitions in tech quietly filter for people who already ship code. The Zero Cup runs the other way. You describe what you want to build, AI writes the code, and you steer in plain language until it works. That is vibe coding, and it has already produced 25 zero-coded projects among the 173 in 0G's Builder Hub gallery. The brief is wide: build an AI-native app, an agent, a companion, or a game on 0G. Founders, creators, students, developers, and first-timers all enter the same bracket. Stuck for a direction? AI companions are a strong first angle. A bracket that follows the real one Submissions run June 15 through June 23. After an eligibility check, the knockout begins: Top 32 on June 27, Top 16 on July 3, Top 8 on July 7, Top 4 on July 11, Top 2 on July 15, and a champion on July 19. Check those dates against the football fixtures. Every Zero Cup announcement lands on the day the real World Cup completes the same stage. When football crowns its champion on July 19, so do we. Judges select the Top 8. From there, community voting decides who advances. Paid at every stage The champion takes $8,500, half the pool. It stacks round by round: $500 locked in at the Top 8, another $1,000 at the Top 4, another $2,000 at the Top 2, and a $5,000 grand prize at the end. Eight builders get paid. Prompts instead of boilerplate The Zero Cup is built around 0G Studio, the vibe coding environment inside the 0G App at app.0g.ai. Describe your idea and Studio turns it into a complete project with a live preview in your browser. Templates are there if you want a head start, and it can work from a screenshot of a design you like. One click deploys the finished app. Registration runs through a 0G Builder Profile. If you want to go beyond Studio, the wider 0G stack is open too, including 0G Private Computer, where AI runs without exposing your data. The official rules cover what a valid submission needs. The window is open The site is live with the full rules, eligibility requirements, and prize breakdown. Registration is open now, and submissions close June 23. That is a nine-day window to take an idea from a sentence to a submitted project. The World Cup will run either way. The question is whether you are watching both brackets or playing in one. What would you build with nine days and a prompt? Rules and dates: https://0g.ai/arena/zero-cup Full breakdown from @0G_labs: https://0g.ai/blog/the-zero-cup
