Top AI Stories SpaceX Pulls Off the Largest IPO in History @SpaceX officially went public today in the largest IPO in history, raising $75 billion and debuting at a $2 trillion valuation. Shares began trading just above $150 on Friday, up from the $135 IPO price, as Elon Musk rang the Nasdaq opening bell from SpaceX headquarters in Texas. The market debut also made Musk the world’s first trillionaire. The story is bigger than rockets. SpaceX is now being valued as a company sitting at the intersection of launch infrastructure, satellite internet, and AI. The company is increasingly pitching a much larger future around space-based compute and AI infrastructure. While still years away, the announcement signals growing confidence among AI-native companies that public markets will continue rewarding businesses built around AI products and services. Just a few years ago, AI startups were focused primarily on proving the technology worked. Today, they're planning for public-company scale. Source: Reuters Meta Invests $115M in the Workforce Behind AI @Meta announced a new $115 million initiative aimed at training workers for the data centers powering its AI ambitions. The program will provide free training, industry certifications, and guaranteed job opportunities for people entering skilled trades such as electrical work, fiber installation, and data center operations. It's an interesting reminder that AI isn't only creating demand for chips, compute, and models. It's also creating demand for entirely new categories of labor and expertise. Source: Fortune Stay in the Loop That's a wrap for the week! The biggest takeaway isn't just that AI companies are getting larger. It's that the entire ecosystem around AI is expanding with them. From public markets and infrastructure to talent development and workforce investment, the next chapter of AI will be shaped by much more than model releases alone. At Perle, we believe one of the most important pieces of that foundation remains human intelligence. As AI systems become more capable and more integrated into everyday life, the quality, expertise, and accountability behind the data that trains them becomes increasingly important.
