OpenGradient May 2026 Recap May focused on expanding network capabilities, improving developer Verifiable Inference in the Explorer The OpenGradient Explorer now allows users to inspect and verify inference activity directly from the browser. Verification includes TEE attestations, payload retrieval, signature validation, and inference outputs, providing a transparent view into how requests are executed across the network. Explore the Explorer: https://explorer.opengradient.ai Verifiable AI in Consumer Applications The @WalrusProtocol Digital Twin launched on twin.fun, giving users a way to interact with an AI-powered digital twin backed by OpenGradient infrastructure. This launch shows how verifiable AI can ship in consumer experiences while maintaining transparency around execution. Try it here: twin.fun Expanding Frontier Model Support Several new frontier models were added to the network: Claude Opus 4.7 GPT-5.4 GPT-5.5 o3 Gemini 3.1 Grok 4.20 family Alongside new model support, the network introduced: Per-inference onchain settlement Historical verification support Reproducible builds OpenGradient SDK v1.0.2 These improvements give developers more tools for building apps that require transparency, reproducibility, and verifiability. SDK: https://github.com/OpenGradient/OpenGradient-SDK One Million Verifiable Inferences The network processed 1M+ verifiable LLM inferences. These requests were settled through batched x402-based payment flows, reflecting increased adoption of verifiable AI infrastructure and growing usage across applications built on OpenGradient. Documentation: https://docs.opengradient.ai New ByteDance Seed Models Three additional models from ByteDance’s Seed family were added: Seed-1.6 - a reasoning model that adjusts compute usage based on task complexity Seed-1.8 - designed for agent workflows and multi-step execution Seed-2.0-Lite - a lower-latency model optimized for cost-sensitive deployments Support for these models was included in OpenGradient SDK v1.0.3. Release Notes: https://github.com/OpenGradient/OpenGradient-SDK/releases/tag/v1.0.3 Looking Ahead We shared an early preview of ongoing work around privacy-preserving AI infrastructure. As AI systems process increasingly sensitive information, privacy becomes a core part of the infrastructure layer. This remains an active area of development, and one we look forward to sharing more about soon. May by the Numbers 13+ frontier models added 1M+ verifiable inferences processed Explorer verification tools launched New agent-focused model support added Privacy-focused infrastructure work previewed Thank you to everyone building, testing, integrating, and running workloads on OpenGradient. We’ll continue improving the developer experience, expanding model availability, and advancing verifiable AI infrastructure in the months ahead.
