Interesting trend: ERC-4626 solved standardized vaults. ERC-7540 is now solving asynchronous vaults. Why does that matter? Because tokenized Treasury funds, private credit, and many RWAs don't settle instantly. The next generation of institutional DeFi may look less like AMMs and more like interconnected vault networks managing capital across onchain and offchain markets. The vault economy is already evolving in that direction.
