Eddy is one of the few people I’ve gotten to work with who have permanently recalibrated my sense of what greatness in a partnership looks like. I’ll never forget, soon after Eddy joined our team in 2019, I asked him how things were going. The only thing he said was “Everything is great. All I want to do is figure out how to create value for this team.” Looking back seven years later, Eddy has become instrumental to everything that our team does: from setting the technical vision for our research and engineering teams, to working closely with our policy team on the right ideas to drive legislation, to helping us make the right investment decisions, to working with our portfolio founders on all kinds of challenges. Eddy consistently sees around corners earlier, works harder than anyone on the important details, and approaches problems with a level of care and intellectual honesty that is impossible to fake.
