How Intersect MBO Committees Were Meant to Act as SMEs Filtering Proposals for DReps, @phillip_pon Explains During our recent Roundtable Talk on the topic โ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ต ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑโ, part of the discussion touched on bringing in subject matter experts to review proposals, and how those contributors could be compensated. Thatโs where Phillip Pon, CEO of EMURGO, took it a step further, reflecting on what he believes was the original intent behind Intersect MBO committees. The way he framed it is pretty straightforward, committees were meant to act as a filtering layer. Elected experts review proposals, narrow them down, and pass forward what actually makes sense. Less duplication, more coherence, and a more manageable set of proposals for DReps to work through. According to him, thatโs not quite how things played out over time, with a much larger volume of proposals coming through instead. It raises a fair point, whether going back to that original approach, with domain experts playing a clearer role, is something worth revisiting. #CardanoShorts
