The "Saints & Common Citizens" collection is a powerful, eight-part diptych by @osinachiart exploring the full spectrum of identity in the digital age. Part I, "Saints," reimagines the divine by integrating modern elements like smartphones and mirror selfies into the portrayal of saintly figures, connecting ancient Christian iconography with contemporary visual culture and digital self-authorship. Part II, "Common Citizens," delves into the mundane, covering themes like politics, companionship, and soccer to highlight inherent human faults and societal ironies, ultimately suggesting that while we may strive for the "saintly," we remain tethered to the flawed realities of being common citizens. The collection will be shown at the Offline Festival, a 2-week gallery popup from April 16-29 in New York City, in partnership with @objktcom.
