CZ: Even If I Knew Satoshi's Identity, I Would Not Reveal It On April 9, 2026, during an interview with TBPN Channel, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) @cz_binance , Founder of Binance, was asked whether he knew the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. He stated that he does not know who Satoshi Nakamoto is, and would not disclose the information even if he did. CZ mentioned that although he is curious about Satoshi Nakamoto, he believes that revealing Satoshi’s identity would bring negative impacts and may lead to centralization issues for Bitcoin. He added that Bitcoin remains more decentralized precisely because its founder’s identity is unknown and the founder is no longer involved in the project. Therefore, he will not actively seek to uncover Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity.
