What if bonding curves were defined by behavior, not shape? Introducing a new primitive for DEX design – An Arbitrary Mean-Rate Exchange Protocol Project Lead, @MBRichardson87 presents Bancor’s latest invention, the Mean-of-Derivatives (MoD) property, at @EthereumZurich. This principle inverts the traditional constructions; rather than defining a curve and deriving its rate behavior, instead, the desired rate behavior is defined first and the unique bonding curve which satisfies it is constructed therefrom.
