Announcement: Following approval of TIP 109, the 20 bps tBTC mint fee will be reactivated on April 15, 2026, subject to the following conditions: ◾ Rebates: Certain tBTC-based projects and integrations require rebates to be directed to mints or redemptions, depending on the product structure. This usually applies where gas costs, settlement flows, or other protocol-level mechanics determine how fees are incurred. ◾ What dapp users will see in the UI/UX: Explorer and My Activity will continue to display any rebates you have earned for staking T. Because rebates apply to both mint and redeem fees, they will appear on both transaction types (as redemption fee rebates have been displayed to date).
