CME Group to Launch SUI futures, Expanding Institutional Access CME Group announced on April 7th that it will list SUI futures beginning May 4, providing CFTC-regulated access for institutional and large-scale investors seeking exposure to the Sui ecosystem. CME Group is the world's leading derivatives marketplace, operating the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (@CMEgroup), Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), and the New York Mercantile Exchange NYMEX. Founded in 1898, CME Group continues to embrace change with futures contracts across major asset classes and digital assets. The addition of SUI futures introduces a new way for investors to gain exposure to the Sui network through a regulated venue widely used by hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional traders. Sui continues to gain momentum as infrastructure for scalable finance and global payments. Since August, the network has processed more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume, while institutional investment products tied to SUI continue to expand. In 2026 alone, four SUI exchange-traded products from @21Shares_us, @Grayscale, and @CanaryFunds have launched, and native stablecoins Sui Dollar(USDsui) and eSui Dollar(suiUSDe) recently went live on Sui Mainnet, further strengthening Sui’s growing digital dollar ecosystem. “Our new micro- and larger-sized Avalanche and Sui futures will provide clients with greater choice, enhanced flexibility and more capital efficiencies across our deeply liquid, regulated Crypto derivatives complex,” said Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products. “We continue to see strong volumes as market participants turn to our markets to manage risk and pursue opportunities, with March average daily volume up 19% year-over-year and nearly $8 billion in average notional value traded daily.” The launch of SUI futures on CME highlights the accelerating convergence between traditional financial markets and blockchain technology, as investors seek infrastructure capable of supporting global payments, programmable assets, and next-generation financial services at scale. Beginning May 29, CME Group Cryptocurrency will make SUI futures available for 24/7 trading.
