Reliable Rails for Unreliable Agents B3OS In just one year, engineers have gone from writing code to entrusting AI to write the vast majority. This pace is exciting and nerve-wracking. As developers put more faith in AI, the systems underneath need to actually work. Payments and crypto cannot be built on a house of cards. AI usage will keep increasing. Software will need to become more modular — lego pieces that AI can pick up and use. And the non-determinism of AI will need to be balanced with systems that deliver consistent, predictable outcomes. If AI can wield tools, and software is the tool — then we must craft good, reliable, predictable tools. The problem is that blockchains, in their current form, are none of those things. They're difficult for AI (and businesses) to interact with at scale. That might sound counterintuitive given the infrastructure investment, but execution on decentralized networks means dealing with: RPC failures Chain reorgs Indexing and data access Gas spikes Bespoke data interfaces and protocols We learned this firsthand at B3 Labs, building an ecosystem of horizontally scaled chains with a dozen consumer products. And we saw the same friction working with enterprises — both at Coinbase and now with major external partners. ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott put it well on their Q4 2025 earnings call: "AI is probabilistic, which by definition means we can't be certain about the results. Workflow orchestration is deterministic, predictable, no randomness, which is required given the sophistication and governance of running global enterprises. AI doesn't replace enterprise orchestration. It depends on it." A lot of effort is going into better models and better reasoning. There's a growing gap on the other side — giving these AIs reliable, trigger-based ways to actually execute things. That's the gap we're filling. Onchain Lego Blocks The fundamental promise of crypto is building on a shared compute layer with a publicly accessible ledger. The trade-off is complexity: wallets, key management, gas, constant signing, RPCs, competing for execution on gas markets. B3OS is a composable, infinitely flexible way to connect onchain actions with offchain apps. Here's how it works: Execution Engine — Lands transactions consistently, with low latency, across multiple chains on enterprise-grade rails. Handles gas, RPC failures, reorgs, auto-retries, and all the nuances of working onchain. Actions — Production-tested, composable blocks for doing things onchain. A growing library of executable actions — placing trades, fetching data, and more — across onchain and offchain systems. Instant support for any x402 endpoint, indexed automatically. Triggers — When things happen: on a schedule, on a block, on specific contract events (Polymarket trades, new markets, LP pools, and more). Connectors — Support for popular onchain protocols like Polymarket and Neynar, plus 2,000+ Web2 connectors for Slack, Telegram, Google, and more. AI Agent — A specialized LLM that works with you to build, connect, modify, and debug all of these pieces. Managed Wallets — Shared or solo wallets with organizational structure. Export private keys anytime. Full audit trail and permissions. Put together, B3OS is an operating system for anyone who wants to execute onchain — traders, businesses, builders, and AI agents — without fighting the infrastructure to do it. In just one year, engineers have gone from writing code to entrusting AI to write the vast majority. This pace is exciting and nerve-wracking. As developers put more faith in AI, the systems underneath need to actually work. Payments and crypto cannot be built on a house of cards. A few things that feel like common sense to me: AI usage will continue to increase Software must become more modular (lego pieces that AI can use) Like yin & yang, the non-determinism of AI must be balanced with deterministic systems that deliver consist outcomes To expand on that last point: If AI can weld tools (and software / APIs are those tools) then we must craft good, reliable, predictable tools. The problem is that blockchains are imperfect tools in their current form. Blockchains are difficult for AIs (as well as businesses) to interact with at scale. That sounds counterintuitive, given how much work & infrastructure goes into blockchains - but it’s the truth. The reality is building on decentralized networks requires a lot of moving pieces, and execution on blockchains means builders must deal with: RPC failures Chain reorgs Indexing, data access Gas spikes Bespoke data interfaces & protocols We learned this ourselves at B3 Labs, building an entire ecosystem of horizontally scaled chains with a dozen consumer products. As builders who worked with enterprises (both at Coinbase, and now with major external partners) - we realized there was a gap that we needed to fill. Deterministic Execution for Probabilistic Agents I am reminded of this salient quote from ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott on their Q4 2025 earnings call: “AI is probabilistic, which by definition means we can’t be certain about the results. Workflow orchestration is deterministic, predictable, no randomness, which is required given the sophistication and governance of running global enterprises. AI doesn’t replace enterprise orchestration. It depends on it.” As demand grows for AI agents, demand for automation will grow with it. They're opposite sides of the same coin and I don't think most people understand this. AI agents are probabilistic. Ask one the same question 100 times, you'll get 100 different responses. That's useful for reasoning. It's not useful for executing a trade, moving funds, or triggering a workflow that needs to fire the same way every time. Both modes matter. There's a lot of people solving for better reasoning models, better inference, better AI. There's a growing need on the other side - providing these AIs with reliable, trigger-based ways to execute things. Onchain Lego Blocks The fundamental ideology of crypto is to build on a shared compute layer, in a publicly accessible ledger. The trade-off is complexity: you need a wallet, you need to secure that wallet, you need gas, you need to sign stuff constantly, you need RPCs, you compete for execution on gas markets. But what if there was a way to remove all of that friction? That’s the idea behind B3OS - a composable, infinitely flexible way to connect onchain actions with offchain apps. How it works: Execution Engine Handles landing transactions consistently, with low-latency, across multiple chains - all on enterprise grade rails Gracefully deals with gas, RPC failures, reorgs, auto-retries & all the nuances of working onchain Actions Production tested, composable blocks for doing stuff onchain A growing library of executable actions like placing trades, fetching data & more (both onchain + offchain) Instant support for any x402 endpoints (indexed automatically) Triggers When stuff happens; on a schedule, on a block, on specific contract events (like Polymarket trades, new markets created, LP pools, etc) Connectors Support for the most popular onchain protocols like Polymarket, Neynar, and more 2000+ web2 connectors for popular systems like Slack, Telegram, Google AI agent Specialized LLM that can work with you to build, connect, modify and debug all of these pieces Managed wallets Shared (or solo) wallets with the concept of organizations Export the private keys anytime Audit trail & permissions When you put it all together, you get a very powerful operating system for traders, businesses, builders, and AI agents who want to execute onchain. Power Crypto Businesses & AIs Building onchain should be simple, with a unified API & MCP layer, with agents that can authlessly provision wallets & setup complex workflows for you. Whether users will transact more in the world of agentic commerce, or connect automations to power the next generation of Defi apps, Farcaster mini-apps, launchpads, stablecoins or internal crypto operations; B3OS is ready to empower you.
