The issuance of Hong Kong's first batch of stablecoin licenses, originally scheduled for the end of March, has been postponed. HSBC and Standard Chartered were rumored to be leading the pack. Hong Kong is concerned that stablecoins may be used for money laundering and may therefore implement stricter KYC regulations.
