ESMA published its report on the EU DLT Pilot Regime, recommending significant changes to expand participation in onchain securities markets. The key recommendations: - Make the regime permanent. Remove the six-year license expiry. - Raise the current thresholds to make participation more accessible. - Expand eligible asset classes to include more complex instruments. Currently, 3 infrastructures are authorized under the regime (CSD Prague, 21X, and 360X) with more in the pipeline. We're working closely with our partner NPEX toward obtaining their DLT-TSS license, which will unlock native issuance of regulated securities onchain via Dusk. ESMA also highlighted atomic delivery-versus-payment as a key DLT capability. This is exactly what Dusk's settlement layer is built for: deterministic, same-block finality where both legs of a trade settle in one transaction or not at all. Financial markets onchain is the future.
