According to The Times of Israel, its military correspondent Emanuel Fabian recently received death threats from Polymarket bettors demanding he alter his report on the March 10 Iranian missile strike on Israel. The prediction market pool, questioning whether Iran would strike Israel on a specific date, attracted over $14 million in bets. Because the rules state that intercepted missiles do not count toward a "Yes" resolution, bettors who wagered "No" demanded the reporter change his article from "a missile struck an open area" to "intercepted fragments." One bettor claimed the original report caused a $900,000 loss. Polymarket strongly condemned the behavior, announcing it has banned all involved accounts and will hand their information over to law enforcement.
