MANTRA Chain v7.0.0 Upgrade: $MANTRA Redenomination Technical Overview Overview The MANTRA Chain v7.0.0 software upgrade is fast approaching. This upgrade, approved via on-chain governance Proposal #26 and Proposal #29, implements the re-denomination of the native token from $OM uom to $MANTRA aMANTRA and executes a non-dilutive 1:4 token split, increasing the hard-capped max supply from 2.5B to 10B tokens while preserving all economic value. This is a significant chain upgrade. Please review the details below carefully. What's Changing Token Ticker: $OM → $MANTRA Denomination: uom 6 decimals → aMANTRA 18 decimals Supply: 1:4 non-dilutive split Fees and Transaction Amounts: On-chain fee parameters and transaction amounts will be updated to reflect the new denomination. Please review any hardcoded values in your tooling, scripts, and configurations. Node Operator and Validator Action REQUIRED Node operators should scale up their node resources ahead of the upgrade in line with the recommendations outlined in the official upgrade guide. This upgrade involves an extensive state migration that is significantly more resource-intensive than a typical chain upgrade. The redenomination occurs at the protocol level via the Bank module. No smart contract interaction is required. Balances will update automatically onchain after the upgrade completes. Please ensure your systems account for the denomination change from uom 6 decimals to aMANTRA 18 decimals. For the Community and Token Holders No action is required from token holders on MANTRA Chain. Your balances will automatically reflect the 1:4 split after the upgrade. The chain will be temporarily halted during the migration window. Transactions will not be possible until the upgrade is complete and consensus resumes. This is a purely technical change.
