The Age of V: Performance Update From the 5th Job Advancement to the Pudgy Penguins collaboration, this winter update was packed with content! Let’s take a look at what we achieved through this update. Achievement 1. User Growth During the update period (approximately 2 months), a total of 130,607 users joined. In particular, 96,280 were new users, confirming the update’s strong impact on new player growth. Achievement 2. Engagement Growth User engagement increased significantly after the update, with both trading activity and in-game participation rising. Trading volume increased by approximately 400% in the week of Feb 12 compared to the week of Nov 20 (before the update), and the transaction count also rose by 171%. After the update, users actively participated in trading, and this was clearly reflected in the results. When comparing average play duration before the update in November with December, January, and February after the update, playtime increased by 11%. In addition, the share of users playing more than 9 hours per day rose from 35% (before the update) to 43%, confirming stronger gameplay engagement. Achievement 3. Economic Stabilization After the update, higher token usage and calculation helped curb inflation and gradually stabilized the economic structure, which is a key shift for a sustainable Web3 game economy. Starting from the week of December 18, increased token utilization marked the beginning of structural improvement, and since February, it has continued to expand, creating a meaningful shift toward a value-preserving, deflationary structure. Building on this trend, the week of December 18 saw a 75% week-over-week increase in currency spending, with all of it consumed within MapleStory N through item enhancement, purchases, and event participation. This period also marked the highest spending level in the past 8 months, supporting the transition toward a more sustainable structure driven by appropriate in-game investment and consumption. Also, with about 60% of Q1 2026 now complete, the total amount burned has already surpassed the entire burn volume of Q4 2025. This clearly shows that the token economy, centered on value preservation, is growing even stronger.
