Vitalik Buterin said users should be free to use Ethereum even if they disagree with his views on app design, politics, DeFi, privacy payments, or AI. He stressed that as a decentralized protocol, Ethereum should remain permissionless and censorship-resistant, while noting this does not prevent individuals from making value judgments about applications and publicly criticizing them. Buterin argued that neutrality should belong at the protocol layer, while individuals and the community should clearly state their principles, build ecosystems aligned with their values. https://x.com/VitalikButerin/status/2023433964082602009
