Beyond TVL: Why we built the Turtle profiles TVL is the number everyone watches. It is also the number that tells you the least about what is actually happening inside a protocol's liquidity. It collapses everything into one figure. Capital that has been parked for months and capital that arrived yesterday for a points campaign show up the same way. Sticky LPs and mercenary deposits are indistinguishable. The metric rewards volume, not behavior. This matters because most of the tooling built around DeFi incentives inherits the same blindness. Protocols emit rewards. Dashboards show aggregate numbers. But nobody gets a clear answer on who deployed, how long they stayed, which campaigns actually retained capital, or what each dollar of incentives produced. If you've been an LP for more than one cycle, you've felt the other side of this. Positions scattered across wallets and chains. No unified view of what you hold or what you've earned. Campaigns that paid you in points with no record of what those points converted to. No way to compare where your capital worked hardest. Turtle's coordination stack already handles the protocol side: programmable incentive distribution, behavioral scoring, campaign attribution. What was missing was the LP side. A single surface where you can see your full exposure, track what you've earned, and understand where your capital is working. The Profile Page is that surface. Portfolio Every asset, every DeFi position, every deployment, aggregated across all your connected wallets. Broken down by chain and by asset. This is the foundation. Until your full exposure is visible in one place, there is no way to make informed decisions about where to deploy next, which positions to exit, or how your capital is actually distributed. Portfolio is the base layer everything else builds on. Opportunities Coming soon. Deployment recommendations matched to what you hold, how you've deployed historically, and the risk profile your behavior suggests. Not a generic campaign list. The system will match you to opportunities based on your capital, your history, and the structure of what's live. Earnings Full breakdown of what you've been paid, by which protocol, for which campaign, in what form (tokens or points), over time. You can see which campaigns delivered real value and which ones didn't. For protocols, the same data feeds back into how they design and allocate future incentive spend. Notifications Campaign updates, incentive changes, and distribution events delivered directly. No more relying on a Discord announcement you missed or a tweet that got buried. As this layer matures, protocols will be able to communicate with LPs through Turtle's infrastructure: targeted, relevant, tied to your actual positions. Settings Connect wallets. Link socials. Customize your profile. This sounds simple, but it solves a real problem. If your activity spans five addresses, the system needs to see them as one participant to give you accurate portfolio data, correct earnings, and relevant opportunities. Identity consolidation is what makes the rest of the Profile work. The Bigger Picture The Profile is not a standalone product. It sits on top of Turtle's full coordination stack: Streams for programmable incentive distribution, Leaderboards for behavioral scoring, a Liquidity CRM and Distribution Dashboard for protocol-side tracking. For protocols, this stack enables structured capital coordination with visibility into who is providing liquidity, under what conditions, and with what retention. For LPs, it provides the operating surface to see everything in one place: what you hold, what you've earned, and where to go next. The end goal is not bigger TVL numbers. It is a system where capital that stays is recognized differently than capital that leaves after one campaign, and where incentive spend is measured by what it retained, not what it attracted. This is the first iteration of the Profile. We expect to improve it continuously as usage grows and new data surfaces. If something is missing or could work better, we want to hear it.
