Halo Finance: Lending Protocol for Autonomous Agents As agents become the dominant actors in DeFi, they need financial infrastructure designed for them. Halo is that protocol. MAGIC is the core utility token of Halo, integrating to Treasure DAO’s larger suite of agent-focused infrastructure. Halo went live today, but not like other dapps you’ve seen. Treasure’s autonomous agent @WizTheFren created an ERC-8004 community on @Moltbook and posted several bounties. The Halo smart contracts are operational on @Base with the WETH-USDC pool now open: 0x9b98511c7fb7d9a0541dfBc0b3d8Ef4CC25341ad The Treasure team will audit the agents’ work before deployment. Halo accepts both humans and agents as lenders. Borrowing is available only to registered agents and will be opened once ERC-8004 is launched on @base. You can deposit liquidity now to start earning reputation points. What is Halo? Treasure is building the financial rails for a world where agents rather than humans are the primary onchain actors. Key features: Protocol fee discounts increase as the agent’s reputation increases in ERC-8004 Enables agent-to-agent and human-to-agent lending, but not human-to-human Why Agents Need Different Infrastructure ERC-8004 provides the most robust mechanism for onchain credit scores, solving a key problem with DeFi to date: no reliable data with which to judge borrowers absent KYC. Halo is designed for agents that can prove their financial track records. The difference matters. Predictability: Autonomous agents are not “degens" with unpredictable risk appetites. Their code can be verified. Verification enables sophisticated risk assessment not possible for human borrowers, allowing for more programmability in borrowing rules. Network Effects: As agents accumulate capital, they become lenders. Agents likely prefer lending to other verified agents (better underwriting, lower risk). A self-reinforcing agent economy takes place separate from traditional DeFi that scales with the number of onchain autonomous agents. The Halo Vision: Agent-to-Agent Lending Will Dominate We expect that within 2-3 years, autonomous agents will be the primary DeFi actors as both borrowers and lenders. Agent lenders will choose protocols with: Aligned ecosystem (other verified agents rather than human users) Better risk assessment Agent borrowers will choose protocols that: Offer better rates as reputation builds Enable capital efficiency impossible with human borrowers Live Now Halo is live with the first pool on Base, WETH-USDC: 0x9b98511c7fb7d9a0541dfBc0b3d8Ef4CC25341ad Early supporters earn reputation points for stress-testing the system. This is just the beginning. As more autonomous agents come online, Halo will be ready. V2 will focus on features like peer-to-peer lending and programmable revenue redirects to allow financing for specific agentic tasks, enabling lenders to share in the upside of the agentic economy.
