Jihan Wu: Bitcoin Mining Is Accelerating the Build-out of AI Data Centers On November 21, 2025, Jihan Wu, co-founder of Bitmain, said in an interview at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore that over the course of its long-term development, Bitcoin mining has already built much of the critical infrastructure required for AI data centers, including power connections, regulatory approvals, and supporting engineering works, significantly shortening the construction timeline for AI projects. He also noted that Bitdeer operates across the full vertical chain of mining chip design, mining machine manufacturing, and mining site operations, and currently controls around 3GW of power capacity globally, about 2GW of which is located in the United States.
