Flow Ecosystem & Network Update Since the 27th December Security Incident, the Flow ecosystem has resumed normal operations. The network is secure, the vulnerability was patched within 24 hours, and Flow engineers have implemented additional security measures. Network health and builder activity have reached pre-incident levels, characterized by a range of milestones: - Consumer Adoption: Disney Pinnacle successfully executed a sell-out drop this week. - Network Throughput: Over 3 million transactions were processed last week, putting the network on track to surpass 1 billion lifetime transactions within the next 90 days. - Operational Restoration: Core protocols, including KittyPunch, MFL, IncrementFi, and Flowty, are fully operational. - Active Development: Peak Money has initiated early-access testing, and the Grants DAO Round 2 is now officially underway. However, there are some outstanding infrastructure aspects yet to come back online, that the Foundation is actively working with all community members, partners, and builders to address: Exchange Status Kraken, Gate, Coinbase and other Centralized Exchanges have already fully restored $FLOW deposits and withdrawals. Korean exchanges (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, etc.) maintained zero user exposure during the incident, as their compliance systems flagged suspicious activity immediately. Due to their robust AML infrastructure, these exchanges and their users remained protected. For exchanges where services remain paused, restoration requires coordination and ensuring full reconciliation. The remaining processes are in the final stages and are expected to be resolved imminently and normal operations to resume on all exchanges. Bridge Status Onchain bridges, such as Stargate and Debridge are fully operational and available for use today. The Celer bridge is operational on Flow EVM, returning functionality for the Cadence environment is in progress. Counterfeit Asset Destruction On Friday, January 30th 2026, the seized fraudulent assets from the December 27th security incident will be permanently destroyed by the Community Governance Council. This process involves the permanent removal of 87.4 billion counterfeit FLOW token, a critical milestone in the Isolated Recovery Plan. Following these last remaining milestones, the remediation and network restoration will be complete. The next status update will be posted on Friday. The Foundation will provide updates at least once a week until exchange services are restored and partners are back to normal operations.
