[Farcast] @keenanrivals.eth It doesn't follow any good principle, neither lowest-first nor highest-first. From a programming perspective, highest-first (ie. ISO / east asian style) is actually best because it ensures that dates sorted as text sort correctly. The bigger issue is that MM-DD-YY creates confusion with DD-MM-YY because the same representation can means two different dates, so we really should phase out one of them, and MM-DD-YY seems like the better one to phase out.
