BounceBit V3 Migration: Guide and Timeline TL;DR: First part of V3 is going live soon. No action required. Your V2 balances and unclaimed rewards will carry over 1:1 into the matching V3 vaults at go-live, and you’ll receive the new voucher tokens (e.g., BBUSD, BBTC) automatically. If you prefer to exit before the upgrade, you can do so until 06:00 UTC on 14 Oct 2025. Scope of this upgrade (part of V3): This migration is one step in the broader V3 rollout. Additional components, including BLP, will follow on a staged schedule and be announced separately. No action is required for those future releases unless we explicitly state otherwise. Key Dates Before Tuesday, Oct 14 All standard actions remain available, including redemptions and unstaking. Tuesday, Oct 14 06:00 UTC - Migration Day Subscriptions and redemptions: Temporarily unavailable. The following modules are impacted: CeDeFi Earn dApp: Ethena, Stake, Swap Convert: Wrap / Bridge BB token transfers and related functions Friday, Oct 17 - V3 Go-Live Users who did not unstake will have their V2 positions, including unclaimed rewards, automatically subscribed to the matching V3 vaults. These users will receive new 1:1 V3 voucher tokens (e.g., BBUSD, BBTC) in their wallets. Migration Details 1) CeDeFi Earn Staking / Unstaking All open/close position functions disabled during migration. No new staking or unstake requests can be initiated. Claiming If you previously submitted an unstake request, you can still claim after its unstake period completes. From BNB Chain / Ethereum / Solana / Base: Claims proceed normally. From BounceBit Chain (e.g., BBUSD): Claims paused during migration and will be distributed when V3 is live. 2) dApp Ethena (Sunsetting) Staking and unstaking disabled during and after migration. Position conversion: All existing Ethena positions convert 1:1 into USDT V3 positions. Rewards: ENA and other rewards will be automatically collected and airdropped to user wallets. After migration, Ethena-related rewards will not be available in V3. Stake Temporarily disabled during migration. Returns when V3 is live. Swap Swapping unavailable during the upgrade to V3. 3) Convert (Sunsetting) Wrapper Wrap / Unwrap requests disabled during and after migration. Existing wrapped BBTC / BBUSD will be redeemed and reissued as new V3 BB tokens after migration. Pending unwrap claims can still be claimed normally. Bridge Fully suspended during migration. 4) BB Token Functions (Unstaked Balances Only) Transfers Disabled BBUSD / BBTC on ETH and BNB Chain cannot be swapped or transferred during migration. BBUSD, BBTC, and stBBTC transfers on BounceBit Chain also disabled. Migration Handling All BB-related token balances will be reconciled 1:1 and distributed as V3 BB tokens after migration. To continue mining stBB with BBTC in V3, you will need to restake BBTC once V3 is live. Any unclaimed stBB rewards will be automatically distributed at V3 launch. 5) Megadrop Users No impact. The claim interface remains open and claims continue as usual. What Goes Live on Oct 17 V3 Vaults with 1:1 V3 voucher tokens (BBUSD, BBTC, etc.). Consolidated contracts for improved settlement and transparency. The BB-token upgrade path that aligns assets and rewards under V3 vaults. Action Checklist No action required unless you want to exit positions before migration. If you plan to exit: Submit redemptions/unstakes before Oct 14 . If you do nothing: Your V2 positions and unclaimed rewards will be auto-subscribed into corresponding V3 vaults on Oct 17; you’ll receive 1:1 V3 voucher tokens. If you want to continue mining stBB with BBTC in V3: Be ready to restake once V3 is live. FAQs What happens if I do nothing? Your V2 positions, including unclaimed rewards, will be automatically subscribed to the corresponding V3 vaults on Oct 17. You will receive 1:1 V3 voucher tokens in your wallet. Will my balance change during the migration? No. Balances are reconciled 1:1. Any paused claims on BounceBit Chain will be fulfilled once V3 is live. Are my assets safe? Yes. This is a planned migration with reconciled accounting and 1:1 token distribution to V3 voucher tokens. Do I need to change wallets or networks? No. Distribution is handled on-chain to your existing addresses. What about Ethena positions and ENA rewards? Ethena sunsets. Positions convert 1:1 to USDT V3; ENA and other rewards will be auto-distributed to your wallet. When can I swap, stake, bridge, or wrap again? Core functions resume with V3 go-live on Oct 17.
