Imagine giving up on Ethereum, crypto gaming, and NFTs right before the golden renaissance that we’re about to see. Money has always gotten more symbolic. In the beginning, money was livestock, grain, shells, and salt. -> Then it became Metals like Gold and silver -> Next, we saw the rise of paper notes that represented a claim on metals (silver + gold standards) -> And then we saw the rise of Fiat money. Now we’re in the age of crypto money. Whoever was involved in these paradigm shifts reaped the rewards. The Medici, for example, created the idea of paper money that represented claims on gold/silver, that allowed merchants to settle claims across borders without moving heavy metals. The Medici then became patrons of the Renaissance and funded a cultural explosion that transformed society forever. The rise of ETH as money will transform culture. Value is now digital. Our digital lives and possessions are eclipsing our physical reality. As ETH moves towards new heights, we will see capital inflows and patronage into digital collectibles and digital economies. They will be the new salons and playgrounds of the crypto elite.
