🧠Insight into CAKE burn stats in recent weeks, as PancakeSwap records all-time high trading volumes 👇 🔹 A significant portion of recent volume, up to 90% in May, came from pools with a 0.01% fee tier. With lower fees, less CAKE is collected and burned. 🔹 Also, CAKE’s price rose around 15% in May, from $2.03 to $2.50. This means the dollar value of burns increased, even though the actual number of CAKE burned may appear flatter. Additionally, the higher CAKE price translates to more attractive APRs for LPs in Farms. The Kitchen will continue to monitor these dynamics and make adjustments as needed to support strong deflation while driving market share growth. TLDR: Higher volume doesn’t always mean higher burn, especially when most trades happen in low-fee pools. This reflects a healthier, more efficient ecosystem as traders benefit from lower slippage and fees, while LPs are attracted to more competitive and capital-efficient pools💪
