There are a number of anti sniping technologies at @MeteoraAG for both launches / launchpads that the team have been relentlessly experimenting, improving and rolling out over the last year, with help from awesome partners. 1) The most proven is the alpha vault, which allows the earliest part of the curve to be bought by users, with the subsequent lock and vesting being set by the project or launchpad. This is probably what makes the most sense economically - since this allows users with longer term alignment to purchase the cheapest tokens. 2) For the dynamic bonding curve (or the virtual bonding curve), the main anti sniping mechanism is fee scheduler, which essentially acts as a deterrent to snipers by setting a high fee at very start, and then having an exponential / linear decay. For example, you can set a very high fee at the start, and rapidly decay later over the next few seconds. 3) we are rolling out a very important feature next, called rate limiter - which makes early large buys much more expensive than small buys - the goal is to make it costly to try to snap up large parts of the early curve while not penalizing those wanting to participate in reasonable size. this will be out soon for damm v2, super excited to test it out soon. These mechanisms all work well technically, the issues are really around sufficient launches to iterate fast, user expectations and crucially, around correct parameters to set. Last but not least, rem that sniping is fundamentally a mispricing problem - where there is insufficient risk for early buyers - so it’s inevitable that any technical steps taken in this direction will result in inconveniences to all early buyers, regardless of intention to hold or sell. Therefore, I strongly believe the key things to solve is really around accurate pricing, long term allocation to contributors and risk/pricing tradeoffs. If you are working on a launchpad or doing a launch, and are interested in these very hard problems - would love to work together to solve these, just ping @realdezen or @0xSoju and we will get to it. PS: i know all these is pretty confusing - will work w the @MeteoraAG team on re-focusing these features soon!
