3 - As a node operator, could you explain your technical setup and what challenges you've faced while running ThorChain nodes? "I've got my node set up on prosumer hardware (Ryzen 7950x) bare-metal box. I have to shout out @Runetard here, as he has put together an amazing guide to walk new NOs through the setup. It was reading this guide that gave me the final push to give it a go. Other great builders have also done some great work detailing how to share daemons across servers, so if the protocol continues to add chains and more power is needed, another box can be added. Challenges? It is certainly a steep learning curve. And I think you need to have the mindset that it is always going to require active participation. A good NO needs to make sure their node is stable, needs to review incoming changes, and votes on protocol parameters (mimirs) regularly. There is a responsibility to your bond providers to keep the node healthy, earn yield, and vote responsibly. There will be times when daemons crash, or the node restarts or errors come up, but honestly, the support from experienced operators has been tremendous, and I have so much gratitude to them."
