SingularityNET (@SingularityNET): Beneficial AGI Summit 2025 Postponed to October

Beneficial AGI Summit 2025 Postponed to October We would like to share an important update regarding the upcoming Beneficial AGI (BGI) Summit & Unconference 2025. Due to different unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to postpone the event from May until October 2025. The BGI Summit & Unconference 2025 will now take place from 21-23 October 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye. We apologize for any confusion this may cause, but we are also really excited about everything we will be able to do with the event given a few extra months' lead time. There are a few major partners who have expressed interest in collaborating on the event but who couldn't gear up in time for May. By October, we expect to have even more interesting developments to showcase, including proto-AGI software from the OpenCog Hyperon project and ASI-chain blockchain projects. We will also be able to premier some unique neural-symbolic AI agents based on LLMs and knowledge graphs specifically tuned for exploration of the social and ethical aspects of AGI. One of the primary goals of the event is to strengthen the Beneficial AGI activism organization we have been curating, the BGI Nexus, and the extra months of lead time will give us more time to power up the new organization positioned at the forefront of beneficial AGI development. Additionally, we would like to draw attention to our recent BGI Nexus Grant Round in collaboration with https://x.com/deepfunding. The round has attracted over 90 innovative proposals aimed at advancing the BGI-related goal of building AI for social and ecological good. Building on this success, we are exploring another funding round later this year. Both the BGI Nexus and BGI-25 will play vital roles in coordinating and supporting this ongoing series of grant opportunities, connecting ideas with the resources they need to flourish. If you have registered or plan to register online, registrations will remain open at https://bgisummit.io. For in-person registrants, we have securely saved your details and will contact you with updates as the event approaches. We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm and look forward to gathering with you in October.
