BREAKING: Litecoin is Now Available in Telegram Wallet! As of March 24, 2025, Litecoin $LTC is now available in Telegram’s internal ‘Wallet’. https://x.com/wallet_tg, maintained by the Toncoin team, has added buy, sell, and trade capabilities for Litecoin within the app for all non-US users of Telegram. External transfers of Litecoin into and out of the wallet are not available at this time, but will be possible at a later date, according to the Wallet team. https://x.com/telegram, one of the world’s largest global messenger services, boasts over 1 billion active monthly users. Its internal cryptocurrency wallet also has over 100 million users signed up and is growing quickly. Some of the cryptocurrencies already available within the Telegram wallet are Bitcoin, Toncoin, USDT, with internal gaming tokens also included. This will also expand over the next few months to include other popular cryptocurrencies, but Litecoin was included now as a tip of the hat to one of the oldest and most respected cryptocurrencies used by many around the world. In celebration of the inclusion of Litecoin into its wallet, Telegram is allowing free purchases of Litecoin for the next seven (7) days for those wanting to try it out. Telegram aims to be a larger player in the cryptocurrency space through its native crypto wallet, ultimately moving towards adding features that allow users to engage in peer-to-peer transactions as well.
