Today, we introduce the next phase of the RED token: the launch of the RedStone DRILL program. The DRILL program is a massive initiative that will see 4.5% of the RED supply distributed to RedStone's core users to reward early adopters of RedStone technology and incentivize the rapid growth of the RedStone ecosystem. Unlike traditional token drops that prioritize short-term momentum, DRILL’s approach provides sustained support that creates enduring value for the DeFi market as a whole. The DRILL program is structured to create lasting impact through five strategic pillars: Develop, Reinforce, Innovate, Launch, and Learn. DEVELOP (15% of Allocation) The DeFi landscape is constantly evolving, with new asset classes like Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRT), Bitcoin-based finance (BTCfi), and Real-World Assets (RWA) pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. The DEVELOP pillar is all about accelerating the adoption of these new feeds across protocols and ecosystems. We’re dedicating 15% of the DRILL allocation to incentivize early adopters and reward the community for embracing cutting-edge assets. Six months after the RED token generation event (TGE), these tokens will flow into distribution contracts. Partnering protocols can connect their pools, and the velocity of token distribution will scale with their Total Value Locked (TVL). The result? Higher rewards in pools for these new asset types, driving integrations and boosting DeFi adoption across the board. REINFORCE (60% of Allocation) Security is the bedrock of DeFi. Without it, even the most innovative protocols crumble. That’s why 60% of the DRILL allocation goes toward reinforcing the safety and robustness of data feeds across the ecosystem. This pillar targets established protocols with significant TVL, ensuring the cryptoeconomic guarantees they need to operate with confidence. These funds will be deployed into the Eigen staking vault six months post-TGE, bolstering security while gradually releasing proceeds to users of protected pools. And in the potential case of a documented price feed malfunction causing damage, this bucket could serve as a potential insurance payout. It’s about giving builders and users peace of mind, knowing their assets are safeguarded by RedStone’s rock-solid and insured infrastructure. INNOVATE (20% of Allocation) DeFi doesn’t stand still—it innovates. The INNOVATE pillar, with 20% of the allocation, is designed to supercharge the adoption of groundbreaking products like Oracle Extractable Value (OEV) or AI enhancements. Practically, pools connected to OEV or the bootstrapping of CLARA AI Agents’ communication framework—these are the kinds of forward-thinking features we’re championing. Like DEVELOP, these funds will hit distribution contracts six months after TGE, with partnering protocols able to tap in based on their TVL. This is our catalyst to ensure that DeFi stays ahead of the curve, delivering tools and solutions that redefine what’s possible. LAUNCH (5% of Allocation) Every giant in DeFi started small. The LAUNCH pillar, with 5% of the allocation, is dedicated to helping new protocols get off the ground. We’re rewarding the communities of early adopters with additional yield, giving innovative, small-scale projects the liquidity and traction they need to succeed. Distribution here will start 6 months after TGE and will be ongoing, based on applications and the potential of early-stage projects using RedStone feeds. It’s a launchpad for the next big things in DeFi. LEARN (Supplementary) Knowledge is power, and the LEARN pillar reflects our commitment to fostering education and research—though it doesn’t carry a direct token allocation. We’re advocating for the creation of research, dashboards, tools, and learning resources to highlight the critical role of high-quality data feeds and oracles in DeFi. This is about equipping builders and users with the insights they need to make informed decisions and push the ecosystem forward. How It Comes Together The DRILL program draws its 4.5% allocation from the “Community & Genesis” portion of RedStone’s tokenomics. To qualify, projects must utilize RedStone products—like our price feeds—to secure their protocol TVL. But there’s a catch: eligible projects are required to airdrop their allocations to users of products directly secured by RedStone. This ensures the benefits flow straight to the community. Allocation splits will hinge on factors like TVL secured, innovation, and a project’s preference for RedStone as their oracle provider. We’re already proud to count a growing list of qualified partners, including heavyweights and rising stars like USDX, Euler, Gearbox, CIAN, Pendle, Venus, Fraxlend, Evaa, Tokemak, Cygnus, DeltaPrime, Abracadabra, Native Lend, Resolv, ZeroLend, Merchant Moe, Mento, Angle, LayerBank, Sumer Money, Factorial, Segment, Phuture, Tempest, and BitFi. And this is just the beginning—the list will keep expanding as more builders join the fold. Recently, Securitize chose RedStone as the primary oracle for its tokenized funds, marking our long-time footprint in the RWA space. Now, DRILL is about building deep fundamentals for the future of DeFi & on-chain finance. It’s about supporting the developers and innovators who form the backbone of that sector. We enable them to create solutions that ripple across the broader crypto market. It's time to DRILL. By builders, for builders.
