Last week, @0xLita released v0.8 of Valida, a general-purpose zkVM built using Polygon Plonky3. The earliest iteration of the Valida VM codebase was written by @maxgillett and Polygon co-founder @dlubarov. Its development grew out of discussions around the question: What zkVM architecture would best optimize both developer productivity and performance? The result of those discussions: a zkVM that minimizes computational resources while allowing developers to write directly in Rust, C and other high-level languages, avoiding the need for custom DSLs. These efficiencies are enabled by the performance of Plonky3, the adaptable ZK proving system securing more zkVMs everyday. Learn more here: valida.xyz
