Listening and Answering Dear Users, Usual Protocol acknowledges the concerns raised following the announcement of the floor price, designed to protect users from a lack of last-resort liquidity. The current situation regarding USD0++ stems from a misunderstanding of the protocol’s mechanisms along with a communication that should have been better articulated. We apologize and we’ll continue to do our best to communicate transparent information to users. Transparent from the beginning The transition to a floor-based system aligns with the natural progression of USD0++ into its final phase of adoption. The end of the 1:1 mechanism and the introduction of Early Unstaking were scheduled for early 2025, as has always been visible on the dApp itself since October 2024 and the whitepaper since November 2024. 🖼️ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gg80C-DXsAA9NMc.jpg (USD0 to USD0++ staking mandatory explainer) Making the protocol more sustainable and finding a balance The protocol is designed to balance the interests of all participants, ensuring sustainable growth over bear and bull cycles. This is why the floor price and revenue switch are critical steps to support long-term participants, allowing associated redemption fees to boost staker's yields and increase scarcity, while anchoring value in the USUAL token. Our design choices enable the best outcomes for the end users, as consistently demonstrated by the team's relentless efforts over the past month to deliver superior returns compared to the overall market. This dynamic cannot be compromised by deliberate misinformation spread on social media. Usual is a robust protocol, supported by solid assets and real revenues. Therefore, there is no reason to doubt the soundness of its mechanism or the transparency of its smart contracts. 1:1 redemption and Early Revenue Switch To address these misunderstandings, we would like to clarify the following: 1:1 Early Unstaking As announced, one of the new features will allow users to forfeit a part of their accumulated USUAL rewards over a maximum period of 6 months to guarantee the 1:1 ratio. Depending on weekly withdrawal demand, this percentage may be lower. This functionality will be activated next week, as previously announced. All the details will be shared in the coming days. Revenue switch activation To address concerns and ensure the protocol’s sustainability, the activation of the revenue switch will be brought forward. Starting Monday, Usual will begin distributing its revenues to USUALx holders on a weekly epoch in USD0, with projected monthly revenues of approximately $5M (50%+ USD0 APR in the actual condition). This initiative aims to highlight the tangible value of USUAL, the balance of its economic model, and the income generated by the protocol. It also emphasizes the equilibrium between short-term farmers selling their USUAL daily and long-term investors holding USUALx, who trust in the intrinsic value created by the protocol. All standalone USUALx will be eligible for these distributions, sent directly to wallets in USD0. Further information about it will be available on the dApp in the coming hours. Over the past 8 months, Usual Protocol has demonstrated the professionalism required to secure a position among the TOP 5 stablecoins (USD0 as the stablecoin and USD0++ as the means to obtain ownership of the issuer, ensuring long-term revenues for the protocol). We like to encourage long-term investors, and they will be the ones that will be more heavily rewarded than short-term participants. We remain committed to build and ship. The contributors of Usual Protocol
