The security of the Ghostdag protocol heavily relies on analyzing the connectivity of block subsets to identify the largest connected cluster which represents the honest majority. Throughout this search, the most fundamental question asked is whether two blocks know each other, i.e., is there a path of DAG edges from one to the other? We call this a reachability query. Answering hundreds if not thousands of such queries per second with an ever-growing and dynamic DAG structure is anything but an easy task. Designing it in such a way that it can easily withstand 10BPS or more is a technology marvel I'm proud of being a significant part of. Subtitles will eventually be available.
