[Farcast] hmm maybe some concrete examples: * The optimal work culture in a world with AI, remote work, digital tools, etc is different from the optimal work culture in a still largely manual labor world * The optimal sexual culture given 5+ distinct types of birth control (and disease control) is different from the optimal sexual culture before those things * The optimal political culture given modern very high levels of communication tech, and much lower difference between ability to communicate with physical neighbors and ability to communicate with people across the world, is different from the optimal political culture before that * The optimal food culture given modern knowledge about health, preparation techniques, availability of ingredients etc is different from the optimal food culture before that So I'm just not sure how useful "replicate the 1950s" (or 1850s) is as a North Star™
